Is this from the texts that talk about Huldra?
@michaelhansen2818

@@3DMasterST their are some similarities between the two, but they're not exactly the same, the Havsfru is strictly an aquatic creature, and the Huldra, also known as Skogsrå is a forest dwelling spirit who often lures men into the forest, but not much is known what happens to them after that because they never return. The Huldra/Skogsrå has been described as having several different appearances, usually described as having a tail like that of a cow or a fox, and sometimes as having a hole in their backs, and always resembling a young beautiful woman. But the males of the race often resemble Trolls or being Troll like.

the fun part is that even the "non accurate" elements from myth in these 2 gow games are litterally all just alterations coming from the fact that loki was removed from his normal role and moved to be kratos son, like it was supposed to go the same as we all know, but his arrival and encounter with faye alterated evewrything and for the rest they eiter filled giant logic gaps or connected vague elements like freya and frig (it isn't stated anywhere they are the same, but neiter the opposite, and it beeing this way the story can have extra cool elements)

Pretty much. The only connection Thor has to thunder is that his name literally meant Thunder in Proto Germanic and Mjolnir might *possibly* be a word for Lightning, but we're not sure. It is really a Greek idea that gods be assigned domains like that. After Alexander the Great and the Roman Empire, most Indo-European religions were Hellenized, so there is a tendency to see this as the norm. The North was remote and relatively untouched. Gods were much more complicated here. For the Celts they were similar to Shinto, where they are described as a myriad. It is sort of like the gods are a forest rather than individual trees. Each tree has a niche, but they are still an interdependent unit.
