What a beautiful song, yet comes from SO much tragedy. Louis Dunford penned the song not only as a tribute to growing up in the Islington/Highbury/Holloway area but also in tribute to two of his good friends, Jack Burns (died unexpectedly young leaving behind wife and kids) and Ben Kinsella (of Ben's Law due to knife killings) who were both massive Gooners. It is 110% North London based on references to places that once or still exist and even though the area has changed dramatically, the history and memories of years gone by still remain. I doubt anyone could make a better anthem.

I am an Arenal fan. This 'anthem' is a joke. My 5 year old could have penned better.

@@ultraslanmc Born in the 1960's, brought up watching Charlie George, George Armstrong, Pat Rice, Sammy Nelson, Pat Jennnings, Willie Young, then along came wonder kid Bradie. Was there when he turned around a 0-2 deficit to Wolves in the FA Cup single handedly, screaming at the rest to "pass me the f4cking ball" Was at Wembley when we lost to poxy Luton (respect to them for their win again at Wembley yesterday). Followed them all around the country at more grounds than I can recall, from Newcastle to Norwich. The only area of Highbury I never sat in was 'The Clock End'. Been in the North Bank when we have had in excess of 60,000 rammed in, mostly standing up too. What an atmosphere. As I said: I am an Arsenal fan. This 'anthem' is a joke. My 5 year old could have penned better.
