Thanks to Vindiggs, Norris Hockey will never die!!! I get it , and agree that today's hockey is the best players of today. But today's hockey is soccer compared to this era . Beauty.

Of course Ciccarelli tries to decapitate Richardson with his stick instead of dropping the gloves as he knows Richardson would probably send him to the hospital.

Clark was a dirty fighter. Constantly taking shots at opponents in a vulnerable position. Brown did that too.
@blackenedmagic888

That was typical of that era in hockey and was the norm and not the exception. Watch enough fights from that time and you'll definitely know that Wendel (by far) wasn't the only one to do it.

Clark rung Takko's bell. "If we feel that the assault is a little more than what falls under the guidelines of a bit scuffle in a hockey game we do conduct investigations and we do speak with The Crown Attorney" - He must not have watched Wendel Clark ground and pound Bob Brooke.
@evets9275

What he's saying, if you're able to read between the lines, is, "If we feel that the assault (by a player from the visiting team on anyone wearing a Leafs sweater) is a little more than what falls under the guidelines of a bit of a scuffle in a hockey game, we do conduct investigations (except when player targeted by said investigation skates for Toronto) and we do speak with the Crown Attorney (as long as the person facing charges will be an opposing player, not one of our guys)."

Not saying that the 3rd/4th bomb by Clark while Brooke was on the ice wasn't out of line, but there's a difference, Clark was using his fists, Ciccarelli was using a stick. On the street, a stick would be classed as a weapon, your hands would not.
