If you have a chance to visit Assam, you can find some thais and talk to the Tai people there too. Even though he is not a Thai person like people in Thailand But he is a tribe with common ancestors with the Thai people.

Karen is a Sino-Tibetan language so they count is Sino-Tibetan numerals system. While the Thai language adopted Old/Middle Chinese numbers from 2-10. That's why Thai and Karen countings are similar.
There are two types of Karen, one is Saw, or Sgaw Karen mostly Christian and Poe Karen are mostly Buddhist. In the Video, they shake your hand in stead because they follow Christian but if you go to Myanmar, Karen people in there will do the same as you.

53 in Karen (ye-chi-soe) sounds so much like 53 in mandarin chinese (wu-shi-san) and Thai (ha-sib-sam)
Karen language script isn’t taught is Thai schools in mountains so not every Karen can understand it. Usually the Christian Karens who go to church can read and write the script.

@@bhainaithai Since Karen has emigrated to Thailand after the Burmese junta rule Burma since 70 years ago, they have to study in Thai school system. Because Thai people fought for a country, we didn't hide in the mountains. History is continuous events. Why do people from old culture like to bully other younger cultures?

@@bhainaithai I've seen you really focus on how Thai language adopted words from Bali-Sanskrit. Yes, it is, especially in Academic matters. But it's not 100% match with Hindi as our Thai linguistics use our own way to create new words ---> สมาส สนธิ. The pronunciation is also different and Thai linguistics borrowed many Bali-Sanskrit words to use in our own meaning, for example, มาตรา is used to describe Article (law), which isn't the exact meaning because they care about the beauty of language better than the meaning. Industry is new English word (Industrial revolution occurred in the 17-18th century), so there's no exact words from Bali-Sanskrit of which being dead language. We use อุตสาหะ (hard work) + กรรม (action). See? if we analyze things by ourselves, it wouldn't end up getting similar vocabulary.

@@mtha7796 but the world you used " hard work" is Same as " utsah karma ". " Utsah " means " cheering up " " karma " means " work ". " Matra" means"limit " in Sanskrit , so it has also almost similar concept. So your written Thai words i can understand the meaning because it has similarity with sanskrit. He never Said 100% similarities, he Said 60% similar. All the Thai words you have written here all end up into almost same meaning or same sense in Sanskrit .
