I can’t get enough of this episode, Rob’s acting in this is truly superb! He has either been violently sick in the past and is drawing from the experience or he is just a brilliant actor or possibly both . He even had the irritability of someone feeling extremely unwell down pat. I’m a nurse so I have pretty much seen it all where illness is concerned, it just looked so real. He is extremely convincing and really does appear to be on deaths door I love him in northern exposure so much, I can see why the show went south when he left , He definitely was the nucleus of northern exposure. I love all the cast but he was just Wow on another level!

Rob looks like he knows exactly what it looks and feels like to be that sick. The irony with Joel and Maggy is that they are both so very likable and they get on each other's nerves to easily. They got off to a terrible start.

This was the first "Drama-dy" that I am aware. A serious drama with a comedic input flowing throughout.

I wish that it had the sene where Joel sees the glaicer and Marilyn tells him to "...get it yourself" but it was good.

Now scientists are saying the glaciers could release diseases. NE was ahead of their time.
