It's good having a QB that can play without dropping the ball...and be a physical runner!! 🔴⚪️🌽☠️

Harrberg is like 6'4" nearly 240 pounds. He is a big dude. I don't ever remember us having that big of a quarterback. His potential is enormous. I think Irvin is coming on at Running Back finally, but he may have suffered a Hip-pointer. Hope not. Grant is very nifty and dangerous when he hangs onto the football. Defense looks impressive. Best D maybe since Carl Pelini was the Defensive coordinator. Need to get the return game going. I like the tight ends. The receivers are young, but showing rapid improvement. They appear to be good blockers.

It’s too bad he has to run the ball, having no offensive line, and no dominate RB who can carry a punishing running game, as we once did back in the day. They used to refer to NU as an “I-Back Factory”, year over year high performing backs like Jeff Kinney, Rick Berns, I.M. Hipp, Jarvis Redwine, Calvin Jones, Mike Rozier, Roger Craig, Lawrence Phillips, Ahmad Green, to name a few. And those backs had dominate, punishing O-lines, which we haven’t had either of, for years. Maybe we can fix our recruiting.

I know it’s Northern Illinois but I already like Haarberg more than Sims. Until he proves he can hang on to the ball he should be moved down in the depth chart. Do better than Scott did! Break the cycle/curse.

Not really. I agree they can’t hang in the Big Ten, and they won’t until they learn how to recruit 4 & 5 Star talent out of the South, but Colorado out prepared, out recruited, and out Coached NU in the off season, by a long shot. NU is lucky Northern Illinois was on the schedule, or they’d be 0-3.
