Great video. I really appreciated how you explained things along the way. I'm going to check out that bridge this season. I hope you make more videos like this one.

i did that site last fall but went in from Kukagami road ... ride in is less than 15 minutes ( not much for keeping secrets 🥴- nice spot on the Wahnapitei river - got to love the history of the bridge. .CNOR built it early 1900's then abandoned the section from Capreol to River Valley and by 1915 all that was left was the railbed while the CNOR went from Capreol to what became Coniston....

Awsome that will be helpful for folks. Its a nice ride. Lots of places to camp out along the way. I think the bed goes right to north bay but not 100 percent on that.

You would have to have balls of steel to drive over that bridge with a truck or any other mode of transport. I wouldnt. I have been down that old rail line many times, it is getting rough now esp around Ella. Thanks for the vid. I love vids that show off my city.

You can get on the trail in several spots it starts in caperol on the old rail way bed. You can get on the opposite side of the bridge on the road off hiway 17 turn at kukagami jacks and u will eventually see the rail way bed turn left.

Go to the town of skead just past the sudbury Airport. The old abandoned rail bed crosses the main road too the little town of skead. When driving into the town of skead turn right on the old rail bed The bridge is about 5k down from there. You can take an suv if you don't have an off road vehicle it's actually a decent road.

Its a real shame people destroyed that bridge because now its had all of the ties cut for the first 20 feet on each side and gates put up so you cant cross it anymore.

@@northerncanadatothailand8596 yes people have set it on fire a few times. It's getting nasty. It's still the best way to cross the river in the summer....😂
