P-61 #42-39408 wore nose-art bearing the name "Lady in the Dark" and was piloted in the Pacific Theater by Major Lee Kendall with the 548th Night Fighter Squadron. On August 14th, 1945 this aircraft was credited with the last Allied victory of the war.
The gossamer blouse worn by the Lady is white in the Signature Series only. This is as described by Maj. Kendall from his time flying against the Japanese in the Pacific and is a salute to him.
Limited Edition, each hand-signed by the pilot.
Hello again and welcome to another video. Today's example is from AF1 and is in 1:72 scale diecast. It is the Northrop P-61B Black Widow from USAAF 548th NFS, #42-39408 Lady in the Dark, 1945, Signature Edition. It is a reasonable build for the price, with an actual pilots signature really makes this one special.
I hope you enjoy this video, and it helps in your decision to whether you decide yourself to make the same purchase as me. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and have a great rest of your day. If you enjoyed the video, why not throw us a like or even subscribe @heavymetaldiecast
