A quick video of inspecting the conrod shells. They came apart very easily by picking them off at the notch and don’t show too much wear and tear. I will be ordering a new set anyway for the rebuild. The bolts and nuts will also be replaced and it’s interesting to see the elliptical shape at the head so that the bolts are securely located into the screw holes in the conrods. Next job will be to clean (and maybe polish a little) the connecting rods.
Good news. The shells and conrods appear to be standard size according to their respective stamped & cast reference numbers :
Conrods: 23258 R3R1R
Conrod Shells: 23255 at one end and 4444 at the other
