That's some good boat driving skipper....I hope you and Gilligan reviewed this and talked about hazards, depths and hand signals. A little bit of training goes a long way in keeping couples together. Also a Bluetooth headset and cellphones so you can communicate when mooring and anchoring. Footage showing the spacing would have an really dramatic.

I admire your courage, no way would I have tried that. We cruised Georgian Bay in a Nordhavn 59 foot Coastal Pilot while doing the Great Loop. Seven Miles Narrows was hairy enough. One of my biggest worries in that area was no repair facilities for many many miles especially if you needed to be hauled out. Congratulations.

Any idea what the depth is in the narrows?

Hand signals are key here. Have you lookout either point to rocks and dangers OR point to clear direction, not both. We have the lookout use the tomahawk motion for clear passage and finger pointing towards dangers.

What was the minimum depth? Navionics shows 1-2ft at the shalowest in the channel.

Our draft is 4 feet but It's much deeper than that. Karin on the bow could not see the bottom and the water was pretty clear. To be honest, I did not look at the depth sounder. You need 100% concentration on steering the boat to go through there. It's hard to evaluate distances on video but in some places I swear I could have touch the massive rock walls. There is not a lot of margin for error...
