It wasn't so cold here. In the North, such a warm cabin is the only refuge within a kilometer radius, and there is much less traffic there, if something happens it may be a long time before help arrives. Greetings. I will try to talk a little more about the realities of work here

Hi KG, what started off as a regular snowy drive turns into a driving nightmare with the traffic. You really know how to drive in this kind of weather, I can't believe how well you handle your vehicle. At least the trees and landscape around you was very nice with the snow on them. Thanks for a stressful trip, hope you get some time off. 😁👋

Hi. As you mentioned, the Norwegians drive a lot in these conditions. You know it's terrible at first, but with time you get used to it. Such advice, if only you have the opportunity and a large, equal sqare, try to test the car. Slip it, rub it and accelerate when making turns. I think atleast twin drive axles are needed in such conditions for better traction rather than just on drive axle ❤️

One axle is standard in Europe. I mean 4x2. In Norway standard is 6x2. So still 3 axle, one drive and one that you can lift and put extra on driving axle. My car is 8x4. 4 axle 2 drive and one that I can lift. In most cases 6x2 is enough 🙂

A single drive axle has more traction then a tendem. I load at places where tendem drives are not allowed to load at bc the company is done with pulling them up hill all the time. I drive a lot in snow and mud and i definitely recommend a single drive. The single drives get way further then tendems

@@larsmeijerink5471 you mean 4x2 or 6x2? A have 6x2 before with buggy. I picked up the buggy when I needed it, and I had 23 tons on the driving axle. Now I have 8x4 it's tridem, not tendem and this is a truly tank. I can transfer weight and also lift the buggy 😊 But I will prefer 6x2 than 6x4 🙂

@@KG_Norway_Truck_Driver i currently have a 4x2 and have a 13.000kg drive axle. When I drive in the snow i mostly put 12.000kg on it and i have no problems with traction, never even had to use chains. I used to have a 6x2 and when u lift the liftaxle it works fine aswell. The company i work for have a lot of 10x4 dump trucks with 1 lift axle on the back. But those things dont have that much traction.

@@larsmeijerink5471 I will make a movie about weight distribution, for example, I can transfer 15,500 kg to one of the drive axles. Regards and I hope you will see this video🙂

Snow and mountains. Something you normally try to avoid in a truck🙂

is it possible to not have your truck go into neutral every so often, in the snow, it could lead to a wrong gear by mistake and lock the tires up
@KG_Norway_Truck_Driver

Yes, you need to turn off the automatic retarder. This is an automatic gearbox, the best gearbox in the truck industry 💪🙂

@@KG_Norway_Truck_Driver yeah i know but still even the best automatic gearbox can misjudge and could send you sliding. okay if it's a dry road but in the snow i wouldn't have it going. you know it as well

Tusen takk. Før det reiste jeg rundt i Europa. Jeg har kun kjørt i Norge i 5 år. Jeg ble vant til disse veiene. Jeg elsker å kjøre utenfor hovedveiene.
