Depends on the industry. If you want to work where knowing Norwegian language is important, then generally they will go for local people unless you know the language as well. Anyways in Oslo there are many opportunities and you can always find something

Is age an issue for masters degree? I have been working as a marine engineer for last 19 years and I’m 42. But after building a boat in my garage all by myself, I now get my life’s true calling . It is to build things that float. I found this masters degree in naval architecture in one of the Norway universities and I’m really interested. My worry is am I too old to get an admission there. Is family allowed to stay with the student during this time?

Well my friend, you need to do some more research. Although long nights and darkness do prevail, it only happens in the northern parts of the country. Oslo gets ample daylight throughout the year. Moreover, I've never met anyone mentioning pills for depression, people have adjusted to this life and they make the most of it.
