The word that you think is questionable is actually Ningen, which is Japanese for ‘human’. Maximum The Hormone is one of Japan’s best groups to come out of the 2000’s, first being formed in 99. They have an uncanny ability to mix genres of rock that shouldn’t go together and turn it into a fantastic song. This is actually a pretty tame tune compared to a few of their tracks. They don’t take themselves too seriously, and genuinely have fun and love what they do. It really shows in their song writing, few bands have been able too match what MTH has done. They don’t know how to write a bad song. :) Other songs to check out are: Yoshu Fukushu, Zetsubo Billy, Alien, Maximum the Hormone, Maximum The Hormone 2, Vap, and Koi No Megalover.

Maximum the Hormone is such a insane band, its amazing. Most songs are a total beast in both energy and fun. They also have vids on youtube showing them doing live performances and they are just as amazing! A few tidbits of fun info, the drummer is the sister (she also does vocals) of the guitar player (who was mostly doing the vocals here) and the main vocalist is the one with the screeching voice near the end of the vid. Usually weird stuff happens in their vids as with the ending on thisone.

They are actually known as the System Of A Down of Japan, they are almost as famous as BabyMetal and did the 2nd intro to the Death Note Anime (this song in particular), in which the show itself....is metal. And yes, he is saying ‘Fucker’ at the end. But the lyrics are: Hey, hey, Ningen(Human) sucker, Ah, Ningen, Ningen, Fucker.

Japanese and Korean songs generally have some amount of English in them. There's just the issue of the accent that can make it a little hard to tell when an English word or phrase is suddenly dropped into the lyrics, but English will usually be mixed in somewhere. For more Maximum the Hormone, I also recommend Yoshu Fukushu. It starts soft, but don't let that fool you. It just has a bit more... structure to it than this one, yet also more variety, I think.

Not sure if you noticed the woman in the band?, Nao the drummer founded it, soon after recruited her lil brother on guitar. Quirky family I’m guessing. That was about 1year after SOAD major debut (98-99), think this vid is ‘06. Def hardcore punk, def numetal, then the metalcore/helmet breakdown then throw in a thrash ending. As Midori from Lovebites tried to explain to a Brit interviewer, MtH is “(metal) rock loud, (Japanese Hardcore), maybe some kind of extreme music?”... kzitem.info/news/bejne/qHlpuaFukHthgZg (note, just after that answer, she wasn’t allowed yet to reveal the tour they’ve since completed with DragonForce. Note2: look how small they are!, chest high to a bartop table, they’re way under 5’0”! “Mom!?, can I have one to take home?!”) The MtH name means max-energy in English, but is a pun in Japanese, hormone sounds like jword for Tripe. Ha, there might be a lil English in there!, but they’re in the right spirit, just like SLAYER is art about murder & fascism, they’re sarcastic, taunting idiots, not preaching hate. Here’s an eclectic 2013 song called A.L.I.E.N, with an extended jab at Winnie, Japan’s Napster kzitem.info/news/bejne/tZqtummApXppmoI

Original: genius.com/amp/Maximum-the-hormone-whats-up-people-lyrics English: www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/m/maximum_the_hormone/whats_up_people_english.html , gives you the gist, but almost every word is debatable...

They are a little "different" for my taste, but I do really like their song "Benjo Sandal Dance", although part of that is possibly because the only decent version I can find on youtube (even using Japanese text) is this one... kzitem.info/news/bejne/rIads3hjp4J6h4Y ...which is a drum cover by Akane of Band-Maid. The female drummer of MtH inspired her to take up drums. Unlike many drum cover type videos, the mix of drumming and original sound sounds natural, so it sounds like part of the song, rather than over the top of it. It's more rock than metal though, so you might not be as keen.

Yeah man this was the best song to be introduced to MTH, their transitions are flawless and their inspirations are from many American bands. They love to play with different genres in their music, and they don’t give a fuck what genre it is, they will mix it in and you will love most if not all (maybe not all, if you really detest a genre for whatever reason). I highly suggest Yokushuu Fukushuu, if you like to stay within the Rock element but love all rock (Rock/Metal/Thrash). If you want something a little more out there, A.L.I.E.N. Remember Grumpy Nerd, there were definetly a lot of shitty grumpy people on the last video but you can not ignore the fact you were sometimes in the wrong too. The world would truly be a better place if everyone recognized their part of responsibility in open conflicts. You didn't just say you didn't like the song, you called it "shit" and argued that it wasn't metal at all. Of course it got some people riled up. And then in the comments section you pinned a badly-worded comment (to your own admittance by the way) generalizing the whole fanbase through a few hate-comments when really it wasn't the majority of them. I'd bet that some of your answers and especially that pinned comment brought you more dislikes than your initial video reaction. We understand people not liking BABYMETAL, we've had reactors with 99% likes to 1% dislikes being very critical of what they were reacting to, but that's because of the phrasing they chose. Again, saying that this is "shit" the way you phrased it wasn't very smart in the first place and it even drove some people to think you were actively trying to provoke. I hope you find it in you to realize this could've been perceived as such and admit you opened yourself up to very heated comments to some extent. You admitted you were wrong at some point in the comments section (to stigmatize the whole fanbase) and that's very commending and mature of you, but in this video you do not act as if you were ever in the wrong at any point. That being said, love this song, I first heard it because it was the opening of DEATH NOTE :D.
