It's good to see Dash took the high road on this, but it does make the fact that Quickshot took the easy one hurt a bit more since they seem to be in similar situations. Kinda funny to see pretty much all the former OWL talents siding against Saudi as well. Blizzard really did them a solid by killing their own franchise 😅

The FGC has been really disappointing in this regard, as you say. Outside of a tiny minority of people like Sajam, there are a lot more people who either don't comment on it at all, or say "the ESWC is a controversial event... but anyway here's the prize pool" or whatever, which might be even worse than saying nothing, in its own way.

About the fgc, sajam and I think sonic fox have said something about not going, but most of the fgc (particularly in sf6) is silent. Thing is, some of the best players in sf6 right now are actually from the Middle East, and I do get a more conservative vibe from some of the top players and the "oldheads" who probably frankly couldn't care less about lgbt issues, love saying "but the USA is bad!", and of course conveniently ignore the saudis direct involvement and human rights abuses beyond the lgbt I also think they've all really bought into the whole "life changing money" aspect of the whole thing. After all, the fgc is poverty as they love to say. Won't take esports money but will take Saudi blood money.

Sadly, as I see it, broadcast talent is not that important and can be replaced. There always will be somebody to accept the gig. Sure it might not be the to tier quality, but as long as it is good enough and all the teams are there, it will make no change. Sure I would like to see you or thorin on the analyst desk, however if you are not there and the teams, I want to watch are, I would still watch a tournament, I personally will not watch any games from this esports "world cup" out of principal. Same as I didn't watch any fifa world cup games in Qatar. Will it change something? Most likely not, but at least I know for my self, I didn't supported this facse.

Unless you use nuclear, hydropower, geothermal as a sort of stable, large supply amount of electricity, you need some form of stable electricity generation. ...Fossil fuels. @inurabera

None of this is *really* about Pride month. It is about the hypocrisy of esports organisations (and other big businesses) in being willing to push pride etc in the West now that it is safe, and the 'right' thing to do in certain markets, while ignoring it in markets where they would get pushback - or cutting it entirely due to taking money from places like Saudi Arabia. Same with the kicking and screaming about female equality, but happily signing up with groups that don't share that belief. All showboating, while having no actual principle outside of "Bag of Money" I'm personally not a fan of pride, however I'm also not LGBT as far as I'm aware.

Omg thorin said there should be a sports center like show that goes into drama of e-sports, news, and drama, can also be twitter or content creator drama. Hear me out, Dash as the host, And he can interview people a once a week podcast on LFN culture called Time to Dash, and its a short summary of the weekly news of e-sports, content creators and video game news. Imagine that. Can have special guests, like rich can come talk about saudi, monte about league etc. This will 100% kill relationship with riot tho.
