What a wonderful video series (to include 24 Different Bowing Techniques). I do custom scoring for orchestras performing modern to popular secular and contemporary gospel music for which sheet music is hard to find or not available. It can be challenging when I hear various bow techniques used or I elect for a certain feel, to effectively translate it all to the score for performance. That's where this series has helped tremendously. Thanks!

Zlata, thanks so much for all this categorization and clarification on bowing. This is very helpful,, and as confusing as this subject can be, I think you're on to something here, using your experience and knowledge to put it into a practical perspective. I appreciate, as many others do, you're willingness and propensity for violin mentoring. Kudos to you, and on more than one front, as I'm sure you now have your hands full with those little ones. ;-).

did you just cover 10 years of classes in one video? :'( I've just had 6 months of classes (i'm 32 by the way), have to say i'm not looking forward to learning ricochet or spicato :p Why is it that these little kids on youtube seem to be able to do everything with little effort :'(

Haha, yes, I can imagine watching prodigies (who are one in a million and definitely did their years of hours of practice a day) could be a little discouraging. However, keep on going tackling your own devils on your level and focus on your own progress. And if you're playing for 6 months, don't worry about ricochet or spiccato at all.

@@violinlounge thank you so much. Sometimes I watch your videos just for your big smiles and you brighten up my day every single time. I feel like I practice the violin just so I have a reason to watch your videos without being creepy lol
