Looking good Mike. Your bumblebees look huge. Get a saddle and take a ride on them big boys. LOL My flow seems to be over and the bees were grumpy on Saturday. I too got tha Apiguard on. Talk to you soon.

I wonder if the mite counts were higher in the Italian because of their high brooding traits? Thanks Mike!!!

Interesting. Oddly enough our Italians here are the lower brooding. What we have decided is that the dog on saskatras are really good at mites. I wouldn't give you 2 oz of rabbit shit for the honey production though. Thanks brother!

Ain't no way I could feed in the front without starting something here lol tried pulling the other day and only got 2 supers off before I had to run them in the house cause they were robbing so bad. I think I wanna try Italian next year and add genetics to my iowa mutts maybe lol

Super robbing?! Lol I'll give you all the Italians you want. I've had the damn things for 3 years down they just eat all the profits. Thanks brother by the way your bees are looking really good. And really sorry about the loss of your cat.

Good stuff Stache! You mentioned that the saskatraz didn't produce. How was your harvest this year?
@MinnesotaBeekeeper

Thanks brother! We had another year of drought. Our Minnesota Queens produced about 100 lb per hive. The dammit Italians didn't produce anything and drew out a lot of comb though. I bet the Saskatras only produce maybe about 40 lb. Russell Kooperman on the west side of Minnesota will end up with about 2,000 pounds. I'll get lucky if I get a quarter of that this year. How about you?

@@MinnesotaBeekeeper I got 780 lbs from both locations. I'm not sure how to calculate per hive. I started with 22, grew to 40, and I am down to about 36 now. Alot of caught swarms this year. Any way you count it, I have a low amount per hive. But its more than I ever have gotten so I'm pretty happy with it.
