Great transcribing! I'm sure it took a while to get everything written out correctly, and I thank you for your work.

Well this is kinda amazing... O.o I'm kinda confident that I'd be able to program something more realistic with sample libraries though (there's something about the strings and woodwinds that sounds weird/synthetic for instance and the dynamics overall isn't perfect) but if it keeps improving this way I'll eventually have to actually learn how to read sheet music and start working in sibelius or smth instead... Actually, I'd love to see more DAWs with notation support

I double-dog dare you! I want to hear an expensive sample library actually outdo NotePerformer for once... I have yet to hear anything that can come close when comparing to an actual good orchestral performance. They're all so artificial and exaggerated, and I feel their users get used to that artificial sound and forget what a real orchestra sounds like. I am actually on a mission to find examples on KZitem of various sample libraries rendering real classical music and beat them with NotePerformer, comparing both to a real orchestra to make the comparison more objective.

@@shalemloritsch9382 Well, I get were you're coming from (I think). I think there are lots of great examples where sample libraries are pretty much indistinguishable from a real orchestra, here are some of my goto examples: Anything that's made by Blakus: kzitem.info/news/bejne/13qHrqWca4CKoIo&ab_channel=blakus%7Cmusicformedia My Computer is a 1950s Orchestra (I love Alex Ball - he made a couple of these and it's probably the most realistic example I've yet to find): kzitem.info/news/bejne/rKauynWAcqyCZqA&ab_channel=AlexBall East West Hollywood Demo: kzitem.info/news/bejne/uKer1KBsapGCrII Problem is of course that most orchestral sample libraries are focused on recreating the big sound of cinema and not necessarily the intricate sound of western classical orchestral music. But I still believe that samples so far are a better way to get a realistic orchestra sound from your computer (at least still for 2-3 years - I'm not denying note performers potential). Then there's also the question of workflow and practicality - when working on a film for example it's much easier to work with midi and sample libraries imo (though I guess Note Performer could be adapted into some sort of plugin? That would be cool). I'm up for the challenge tho! If you provide the score for a short excerpt (like 5 minutes? Not because I'm lazy (I am tho) but because I'm a busy student working on my thesis O.o) of something classical then I'll do my best to orchestrate it with my sample libraries! I need to practice my skills anyway :3

@@SeanSecret I listened to the examples above that you provided. Yes, those are definitely above average. However, it's big scoring which tends to cover weaknesses, so it's hard to tell for sure how those instruments would sound with something more strings-heavy like a regular classical work. I guess when I'm looking for sample library demos, I tend to find lots of trash like these put out by the vendors themselves: kzitem.info/news/bejne/qq6g0oimo3WIepw kzitem.info/news/bejne/xHmm2nZ5b2OZiqg kzitem.info/news/bejne/mG2sy41rrad4qII So you're up for a five minute score... I am going to pick Schubert's Symphony 9 "The Great", from the beginning to the first repeat. Depending on tempo, it comes to about 6 minutes of classical music-full symphony orchestra senza tuba and extended percussion. I am still working it up in Finale for NotePerformer. What format do you want it in? MUSX? MusicXML? MIDI? What sample library do you plan to use?

@@shalemloritsch9382 OMG haha - I still have trauma from hearing the horns from Spitfire BBSCO's demo xD I have already seen that clip and wanted to forget about it welp... Check out Junkie XL Brass instead - probably the best brass library out there at the moment (but still maybe not up to your standards? :3). The strings in BBCSO are pretty good tho I've heard! Just needs a lot of tweaking :3 If you got the MIDI for all the parts then that would make my life a lot easier! Also the score as PDF (musicXML works too) if you could - Mostly so that I can see the dynamic markings and follow along to recordings (and double check notes if MIDI isn't working as it should... *sigh* I love you FL studio... but sometimes it's hard man). You can mail them to me at my YT mail theseansecret@gmail.com The only orchestral library I have is Native Instruments Symphony Series. It's not perfect by any means and I've been meaning to upgrade - but it's what I have so it's what I'll use... I can already foreshadow some issues considering the piece you gave me O.o

@@SeanSecret Done. The sample performances I could find of the Native Instruments Symphony Series definitely sound better than VSL or Spitfire, so there's a decent chance it could give NotePerformer a good challenge! Speaking of the strings in BBCSO, did you see my video comparing it with NotePerformer? (It's the only public video on my channel currently.) I can't speak for whatever tweaks it may need in order to get good results, although the performance I'm comparing with was sequenced by the developers of the library. I'd like to think they know what they're doing and would fully optimize their demos!

Remarkable performance, bravo! Having dabbled in this myself, I know what's involved - see playlist kzitem.info/door/PLyurzG3wNkc_3YTJL3Kp7g-XfMFkKznPq (Mahler (3 (part) 5 (complete)), Strauss (Alpine Symphony, part), the odd Beethoven String Quartet..... Don't think I match yours. I'm using the old Sibelius 7 First limited to 16 instruments, so I have to do several Sib files and combine them in a mixer. How many individual staves did you have to use?
