Thanks for watching! If you found the sound a little low in this video, allow me to recommend my more recent NoteQuest series, which not only comes with improved sound quality, also used the NoteQuest Expanded World content! Check it out here - kzitem.info/news/bejne/mG5vvnZ3p2mGl6Q

BTW: When you roll for Loot, you rolled 1, which means one coin. But if you would roll 6 = treasure - there is a table on which you would roll to find out which treasure you get.

Ah guess I missed that! I'll keep that in mind for my next game 🙂

Brutal game. Nicely organized though. I think I like it better than 6x6

Nice, but a few errors. You should have used 1 torch to enter the dungeon. Damage from the Orcs should have been 6 (2x3) not just 3 as they are both attacking you. If an item doesn’t have a stated value (I.e. Jewel 90coin) then it can only be sold for 1 coin. (The Jewel in this example you can sell for 90coin). You should have rolled on the Treasures Table to find out what Treasures you found. (They could be Treasure, Wonders or Magic items, the table is top right on the page.)

@@lone_adventurer No worries, I wouldn’t want you to get a false impression of a superb easy to play game 👍

Sad you came to such an end. Before you mentioned there were rules to continue the same dungeon, I thought that's what I'd do anyway. I listened with my screen off and it was a pretty good time.

Yup the character came to a bad end, but that's the way it goes sometimes :) So easy with this game to roll up a new character and, as you say, potentially take them into the same dungeon and gather up that dropped loot! Glad you had a good time listening to the playthrough!

Nice! Thank you for sharing your playthrough. (The volume level seems super low to me, but I'm looking forward to more.)

Thanks for watching! Yes, I've been told a couple of times that volume level is an issue. New videos coming out in the next week or two - hopefully the sound will be a little improved 🙂

Totally! One of the best things about this game. Twenty minutes reading the rules. 90 seconds to make the character and you're off!

Thanks - another video coming later this week, I should think! Yup, I'll get on the expansion after a few more plays. Looking forward to the overland elements of it, as I haven't done much like that before.

You're welcome Mike, glad you enjoyed it. To be honest, I feel like I don't have the time to get into D100, BUT the release of D100 Space drew me in - who doesn't love a bit of space exploration! My copy arrived this morning, so no doubt I'll get some videos up for that before too long!

Have you tried ironsworn or ironsworn: starforged? I see you’ve played a variety of solo rpg’s, do you have a stand out favorite?
@lone_adventurer
2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure I have as broad a solo-rpg experience as you think :) I haven't played those games, though I have downloaded and read much of the Ironsworn rulebook (it's free, I think). It looks like an awesome system, and I would recommend Me, Myself and Die's series on the game here on KZitem. However, that game (and Starforged) are much more 'pure solo rpg' experiences, i.e. you have to actively take on the role of the GM yourself, using an oracle to generate situations and storylines. Such games look very cool, and I hope to take one a game of that sort eventually. But they can be daunting, at least to me - partially because I haven't really done any traditional group roleplaying in 2 decades or more. So the 'solo rpg' games I play tend to be very table and random roll led. Games like Four Against Darkness and NoteQuest. Of the two, I would recommend NoteQuest as a starter - its a complete package and easy to get in to. Best of luck!

So, you don't defend against monster attacks? You just take their listed damage on each of their turns?
@lone_adventurer
2 жыл бұрын
I believe that is the case, yes. You just take the damage.
@Orc185

The armor is piece of hp's. You dont roll for defense or monsters attacks. Some enemy trigger theyr abbility with your attack miss. Ex. The goblin explodes when you roll 1 on your attack roll.

I just started first play of this I'm a pixie blacksmith. Basically a glass cannon in so far as I have barely any health or do any damage but I'm armed to the teeth with 5 spells. 😂 Should be a laugh. I've been playing it slightly different though I realised, I've been rolling for room contents first and then monsters. Cos I read the effects on some of the room contents and you can trigger traps and it says in the book if you trigger traps the monsters get to attack first. Which means if you kill the monsters first before triggering traps the monsters would never get to go first
