Really the best part of Los Angeles. It’s like 80% of why I still live here.

As a girl who just moved to LA and feeling a big time love & hate relationship with this city.. I can agree that Korean food is my go to for healing my soul/curing my sadness lmao

I was born in the Philippines, but raised in LA. Girl, we have almost every cuisine here in LA. They’re all authentic too! It’s so good!

Sometimes the food is just too good. You can always explain later. That food looks so delicious. Might actually be worth going to LA for food that heals your soul.

Sometimes you just need to eat some comfort food it satiate the soul. I'm Chinese so I have to eat rice on a regular bases to feel satiated and one of my comfort foods is congee.

Yes! Stoked to see a food tour style video from you! Even though I live in Seoul, I'd love to dive into LA's Korean food someday, just to compare. Pretty sure it would trounce what I've had when living on the East coast of the USA 😅

Here are some others: Hanbat Sullungtang, Kobawoo (bossam), Ham Ji Park (dwaejee galbi and pork neck soup), Yu Chun (naengmyun and galbi), Jae Bu Do (charcoal grilled seafood) You were also right by Pollo Ala Brasa. Unbelievable Peruvian rotisserie chicken.

Maybe I can just go to K-Town/LA to satisfying my cravings and feel the Korean vibes instead of trying to go to Korea every year 🤔 lol Also, your shaved ice experience when you were younger literally describes my experience as well! The manual machine, condensed milk, and canned red bean paste 💯

Borit Gogae is period back in the days when the farm harvested last fall ran out and the barley was not yet dry, when the food situation was very difficult for farmers. My comfort food in LA is Gukbop at Seong buk dong. My brother who lives in korea craves it and already planning to have it for 해장 when he's visiting this September 😅
