Yes…I very much agree with the both of you! 😉👍 It seems like it would be quite obvious but you’d be surprised just how many “reactions” that I’ve seen where the meaning somehow evades them and goes right over their head ffs! 🤦♀️😬🤷♀️ Even worse imo are the people who for whatever reason, don’t seem to realize that they should be reading the words that Tyler is saying during that section where he and the 2 hazmat guys are kneeling right before Tyler says the “what will they be like tomorrow” in that distorted voice he often uses and the song kicks off again? It’s kinda baffling considering that the freaking words are right there captioned ffs!? 🤦♀️🤷♀️😅

The songs that 100% relate to the lore are in order below with the album they’re on as well - you can catch some smaller things in other videos, but these all link together: - Heavydirtysoul (Blurryface) - Jumpsuit (Trench) - Nico and the Niners (Trench) - Levitate (Trench) - Saturday (Scaled and Icy) - The Outside (Scaled and Icy) - Overcompensate (Clancy) - Navigating - Paladin Strait Understanding their music as a whole will help with the storyline too, but those above are directly related to the lore and all link together For the colors: Black and Red are in the Blurryface album when they’re battling Blurryface Yellow is in Trench - a color of hope to defeat Blurryface (Nico) Blue is in Scaled and Icy - where they’ve given into Blurryface and are trapped Back to Black/Red for Clancy where they’re back to battle Blurryface There’s so much to the story but you’ll continue to piece it together

@@BeersBarsthere are also several songs on Trench that don’t have music videos that really add to the lore. Totally not necessary but on your own you should really listen to Bandito (Trench) and Leave The City (Trench) for filling out understanding the lore. The album after Trench is Scaled and Icy, is according to lore supposed to be an album done when Tyler has been trapped by the 9 bishops and forced to write a propaganda album of upbeat songs.

I’ve been to over 100 concerts from almost every genre. Twenty One Pilots has been my favorite show I’ve ever been to and I’ve seen everyone from AC/DC to John Mayer, Elton John to Dave Mathew’s, Billy Joel to Pearl Jam in their primes. Hands down, Twenty One Pilots is a whole other experience. I’m going to see them for the third time in Denver in August! Can’t wait!

Tyler said as they got more involved in the music industry he was discouraged to find out how many songs weren't written by the artists who sang them and how little some artists were involved in the creative process or don't even like the genre of music they release, they just do it to find commercial succes. He and Josh have always tried to do as much themselves as possible and 'kept the circle small' and only release music they actually enjoy.

My take on the last part as someone new to 21 Pilots and their stories: Fame and Success kneel to the Camera, the Artist kneels, the Crowd kneels. Fame and Success subjugate the Singer and, in turn, the Crowd. The Artist turns their back on Fame and Success, stands, and reveals themselves to the Crowd. The Crowd stands, revealing themselves to the Artist. The Artist and Crowd connect.

Yea Tyler’s “not dancing” is probably one of my favorite things about him honestly 😅 like seriously tho…he’s simultaneously the worst and best dancer ever imo! He sucks and he knows it…but he doesn’t freaking care whatsoever and so…obviously I absolutely love it ffs! So I cannot help but smile whenever he does his signature “not dancing” live or otherwise! 😅 Also…YES you are 100% correct…as my guy Josh Dunn is an absolute monster on the drums! In fact there’s never been a time where I have seen anyone, even pro or casual drummer give Josh anything other than heavy praise really, which isn’t something that I can say about the vast majority of drummers out there…say for maybe just a small handful of drummers past or present really! 😉👍😁

Is this not an all time bar???? They think this thing is a highway If it was our way, we'd have a tempo change every other time change 'Cause our minds change on what we think is good I wasn't raised in the hood But I know a thing or two about pain and darkness If it wasn't for this music I don't know how I would have fought this Regardless, all these songs I'm hearin' are so heartless Don't trust a perfect person and don't trust a song that's flawless Honest, there's a few songs on this record that feel common I'm in constant confrontation with what I want and what is poppin' In the industry, it seems to me that singles on the radio are currency My creativity's only free when I'm playin' shows
