I remember going to graduate school and my people bragging on me to all of their friends. Once I got my master's degree and came home to give recommendations to help improve our family, my relatives looked at me like "negro please!" I realized then that it was going to be a long road with people who praise ignorance and look down on dudes trying to avoid ignorant shit. Same with relationships. Women are intimidated by a man who has expectations and an opinion.

All a good man is to the average black woman ( like most woman for that matter ) is resources : money, a car, and a home. In short, there is nothing in it for a good man except the plundering of his resources and of his soul, health, and time.

Yea..thats true for a lot of them..they know they need a good dude but they aren't trying to "do right and act like a lady"..so they continue to keep dating idiots. Some only wise up when they are ran through and are no longer wanted by their thug counterparts. thugs, playas, pretty boys, etc. like their women new and fresh! So thats why it isn't wise for "good guys" to take them in. Because you are basically getting a woman that no other guy that she likes want. So she is basically using and settling for you.

They want a man thats in shape, has money, loyal, good morals and character. Does he get those same things?? Do they even give a shit what he gets as long as she happy and he miserable? Good post man.

I like the comment about lack if reverence for father figures and family men in the black community. Just turn on the Maury show to see men "accused" of fathering children and the umbrage these women take with the alleged babydaddy. The complaints are always strictly monetary: "he don't do nothing for the baby" "he only bought one pack of pampers and a bottle"--that sort of thing. Fathers are seen as little more than wallets with feet--not the protectors, nurturers, mentors that they truly are. A good father provides more than just material goods. Sorry for the over-long comment but you've made a striking and important point.

Amazing video, what I am most shocked is when describing how a good black man is treated and how he acts. It felt like you were talking about me, I have always looked out for others with no hope and no expectation whatsoever. I am all of those things you described about the good black man and more. Your video has humbled me even more than I usually am, because it shows what the worth of a good black man is to the world, but more so to his own people. What is a good black man worth? What is his priceless value? Nothing..
@reclaimedandrested

Jordan Glasper y'all are so arrogant. How do you know that you're a good man, let alone a good black one? This is why I've stopped dealing with black males and their fuckery. What I've observed is that you males qualify yourself as good when you are gainfully employed, don't live on your mamas sofa, and don't have baby mamas. For all other men in the world those are standard masculine traits. To be self sustaining and hold your own balls. Seems to me what black males lack across the economic spectrum that truly stops you all from being seen as men in the eyes of the world and thus attaining the basic respect other men are afforded are accountability, responsibility, and character. No wonder most of us black women are now venturing outside the so called crumbling black community for mates!

Interestingly, they don't see a good Black man as good until he is either unavailable or ' taken ' by someone or something else. The underlying truth is that many BW do not really want a relationship with a good Black man, hence why they routinely stare these men in the face but deny their existence, while regularly pursuing the total opposite of a good BM. On another tip, given this kind of severe mistreatment, some good BM simply conclude that, since there's nothing in it for them, it's not worth pursuing and understandably pursue other options, particularly in women.
@larmovement
9 жыл бұрын
rmsolympic1 I completely agree with you. That's why to me most of the complaints are bs to me.
@rmsolympic1
9 жыл бұрын
Yes, exactly. It's like, for social and political consumption, some of them say that they want a good BM but can't find any - that's a message that many ppl find quietly palatable, and it gives a face of legitimacy and validation for making any number of choices OTHER than a good BM. As a result, and understandably, any BM who has sacrificed hard for his own self-development and/or accomplishments will eventually conclude that it just plain is not worth making himself exclusive to women who treat him that way. Some of us,BM and BW, must realize that we must be worth it for somebody to pursue and treasure us. Anyway, thank you for your consistently and deeply thoughtful videos.

Well aprox 20 minutes later after going through the comments. One common thread I noticed from many videos like this. The deafining silence of women unless its a form attack which only confirms that they're offended by the truth spoken. Not one woman has stepped up to the plate and gave an example or examples of what's in for a good man / black man. Ladies this makes you look bad. I appeal to the good black women out there that don't want to be tared with the same bad brush. Shout louder and make yourself known. Separate yourself from the bad apples

I wouldn't say Cunning makes you powerless. This is how the world is run. You can't get ahead by telling the truth all the time. People don't appreciate Truth. Women don't want to hear the truth. You get further with a woman by telling her what she wants to hear and playing the game. Life is a Game to be played and those that Win Inevitably are not the Ones who are trying to Be Good All the Time. The whole book is about how people came to Power by using deception, seduction, and cunning. law 35 master the art of timing, law 21 play a sucker to catch a sucker are prime examples. Cleopatra used seduction "Cats Paw" to manipulate Caesar and Mark Antony to crush her enemies to gain the throne and protect Egypt. Basically the same holds true in dating. you can't play the role of Mr nice guy with women because that gets you no where. you said it yourself. however those who have an edge and an air of mystery are the ones who get ahead. I have tried some of these laws myself. When I was trying be all good I got nowhere. When I wasn't I got further with people. These laws come into play still. Especially in the Corporate World.
@larmovement

I read the whole book. Cleopatra lost Egypt and Ceasar lost Rome. Play a sucker is deceiving a deceiver. The art of timing has the polar opposite by never outshine the master because heavy is the head and cunning people have weak necks.
