It's kind of difficult to keep being a Notion user. The Mobile app is not great at all Notion requires a lot of creativity from what I noticed, as there is basically a million ways to plan out vacations so it's difficult to stay at 1 system for planning I'm not sure how secure Notion is, if staff can read my notes or if it's always there

I have a problem and don't know how to solve it, I had notion for a while and all the notifications worked, yet now for some reason I can’t allow them from settings (from macbook) because the app isn’t even an option in the settings option (don’t know if I make sense) I tried deleting and downloading the app again several times, even refreshing , and updating it but it still doesn’t work. What can i do in this case? Has this happened to anyone else?

Ok this is probably gonna sound dumb or super simple but how do you add a text box? I'm making a day planner and I want to have a spot for a daily focus or goal for the day. Right now I'm just using a blank callout box but I didn't know if I was skipping over an option completely.
@ProductiveDude
Жыл бұрын
You could create a database that shows up with a daily page for each day and has a text location for goals and focus for the day that you could write in daily and track/see in certain areas of your workspace. Look up my “recurring templates” video on my channel. You’ll find that it’s good for creating the day template, then you can reference the database using “/linked view of database” elsewhere in your system.

Great info - have you used notion heavily though, as when I am introducing large amounts of content and large files / videos to view ... we are having issues.
@ProductiveDude
Жыл бұрын
I have used it for heavy use-cases like financial tracking. When trying to introduce thousands of pages at a time on one page it can get unusable or very slow at best. So yes I understand. However, that’s not where I stop with Notion. Notion is a tool! Not a perfect all-in-one tool, but a tool. Use it for what makes sense. You might not be able to do EVERYTHING with a hammer, but that doesn’t mean you don’t use your hammer everyday if you’re carpenter. (Cheesy example but I hope you can see what I’m trying to say)

It won’t strike through the task unless it’s a to-do block in a page. The checkbox in the database is different from the to-do block.

Hi guys. Does anybody know how to solve next problem? I got couple databases and linked views on one account. Then, I share page, copy link and just duplicate the whole system of these with all its` filters to another account. But the thing is, that when I duplicate it, all the linked view databases are not abled to add new task or the content not showing at all. I guess the problem is that I have to change data source from the main database of the 1st account to the main datasource of the 2nd account. But the thing is, when I change datasource, all the filters in all linked view databases on the 2nd account are gone. So, the problem is, I can`t figure out how to transfer (share, duplicate) the whole system with lot of databases, its` filters to another account and still be usable?
@ProductiveDude

Sharing pages will allow people to view and modify the same database and data. Duplicating will create a new instance of the database that contains separate data.

Notion automatically charges additional fees for user errors without additional consent, and when inviting others for collaboration, it automatically charges an annual fee for each person invited. Once you receive the card receipt, you cannot receive any refunds and although all requests will be answered kindly, refunds will never be given. Currently, my account has $5000 in credits. If you don't want to feel that way, delete Notion. Traditional free sites are much better than Notion. Don't fall for marketing that pays for reviews on KZitem. Just stay on the free account. You are in danger as soon as you enter your payment information. How many years will it take for an individual to actually use $5000 credits for Notion? I have been exchanging crazy notions and emails for over a month. From now on, I will be kind, but it seems like I will be laughing at you behind your back. Again, don't fall for it. It's garbage.
@itman94
Жыл бұрын
If you still want to try using it, use only the free version and never register your payment information. Once you receive the invoice, it's already too late.
