Great podcast. I serve in a rehab here in CPT where most of the guys are gang or ex-gang members. Some are former hitmen in that life as well. Once these guys open up and share you can really see the toll the life has taken on them. Especially once the drugs wear off and they have to face the emotions. Sadly fatherlessness is truly the common issue between them, I say respectfully. I have such a respect uncle Andy for his work and such a great role model. We need more father figures like him in the community.

Love what you are doing with this Podcast Josh. Showing real stories of real people. It's very easy for me to sit here and curse at how ruthless they are, but for some people, this is the only life they know. This is how they were groomed from age 13! It's interesting to listen to this stories. I pray they see a different way of life

When the guy in the Green T-shirt responded to the 'world's nicest prison' question, and said he had seen something like that on a show called 'World's toughest Prisons', you interrupted him and said no it's not that...He was actually referring to an episode on World's Toughest Prisons where they went to a Scandinavian prison where it looks like a hotel. So next time hear people out first, and don't just assume and jump to correct them, because it comes across as patronizing.

All of them have fathers who are currently in their lives, I know them all the one in the middle said "fuck God" when he saw people coming from church. The one in green is soft and totally relies on ice and Dylan and how do there dockets get lost is because Dylan's mother is a police bed And as for peace whenever the community rises up against them they run. Our kids go to school everyday they respect meand that's why I can say this we already had a talk

What I am taking away from these interviews is that a child’s upbringing is everything! Once you loose the importance of installing fundamental principles in your child from an early age, they will go out there & look for it in the world & chances are the world will mislead your child & it will be too late to save them. Parents let’s fight for our children to make our world a better place. We cannot have children raising themselves, let’s not take away the opportunity for kids to be kids!
