Dude. This is day 1 for me. If it’s “competitive” then it has to be in the 500 to 800 range. If that’s the case I’m buying 2 and changing art. One for vertical and one for horizontal with 2 bases. I’ve always wanted a candy cab and the originals are hard to find and super expensive and this is what I’ve been wanting for years. I’ve seen different art packages being thrown around and hopefully they will be available too. Thanks so much for sharing this.

This looks to be exactly the kind of home arcade setup I've been wanting. With limited space, one cabinet that can house an emulation machine is ideal. I like the look of the cab, it's not full of distracting graphics and has a good, clean, sleek appearance. I'd like the purchase option of choosing the color of player 1 and 2's arcade stick/buttons. That would be a nice touch

I dont see how this could NOT be more than $1000 compared to arcade1ups with their 1/2 inch mdf construction, 17 in screen and limited use outside of the box. i snarked at the 1500 tag but honestly it does alot more than expected. if it does it what it does well it might be worth saving for. also the thing about MSRP's is that you can sometimes get it cheaper

Wonder if you could fit a mini PC with GeForce card in the main cabinet to have it as a countercade, not interested in the base. Sure, it can be plugged to an external PC, but I’m looking for a self-contained CoinOps-driven solution without having to compromise too much. Pandoras and the like don’t cut it for me… Also disappointed by the tate mode implementation, so hope modders come to the rescue with an easier rotation option for the monitor.

Is there anyone you can contact for product suggestions? I really want one of these, but I'd like to see some sort of quick monitor rotation, almost like an Egret II. Even if the monitor snaps or slots into place, that would be wonderful. I can see myself having to rotate the monitor daily for my use case, and I don't want to have to DIY something, or constantly be screwing and unscrewing the monitor, putting wear and tear on the mounts.

They aren’t going to make the monitor have a rotating mech of any kind for this product release. Adding something like that would obviously raise the price and they seem pretty locked in with the design of the machine at this stage.

@@cooltoy Thanks for the information! I actually have a DIY idea to make rotation a bit easier without a full mechanism, or adding much, if anything, to manufacturing costs. Reached out to Unico not too long ago, so we'll see if they forward the suggestion. :-)

Can you put a raspberry board in there or it has to be an arcade pcb?

My only disappointment is the lack of easy swapping between the vertical and horizontal modes... otherwise it seems amazing.

It's actual not hard maybe three or four minutes versus real having to disengage then rotate 150 pounds monitor.
