FYI: The Titanic graves were not intentionally laid out in the shape of a ship's bow. The coffins were laid into trenches, not individual graves, and one of the trenches ended up with a bend in it to avoid a huge slab of rock. And J Dawson is Joseph Dawson, not John. It was only the 1st class passengers that were sent to Snow's Funeral home (now the 5 fisherman rest). Everyone else was laid out on the ice in a nearby curling rink.

A couple of minor points: - Hall's Harbour. It sounded like it was pronounced Hell's Harbour. - Grand Pré: drop the hard d in Grand and Pré sounds like pray. - The Acadians were not persecuted as such. Under British rule, until the 1750s, the Acadians flourished and were generally left alone. Tensions and then war with France led to the sudden deportation of the Acadians. - Although Pictou and area claim to be the birthplace of New Scotland that is not really the case. That claim can actually be made by Annapolis Royal where the Scots settled, under Sir William Alexander's colonial scheme, in the late 1620s. The ruins of Charles Fort are located beneath Fort Anne.

Did you even know the familie of the person whose graves are visible in your video? Making pictures or video's of graveyards and gravestones is disrespectful to the people who died and their families. Maybe that's an opinion in your eyes but it's fact for my entire familie and my friends's families. It's in my eyes on the same level as walking over someones grave, it's just something you don't do.

@@MissToya666 Lighten up ! Gravestones are memorials and historical where one goes to to respectfully memorialize ! What else is a memorial good for ? What do you put flowers on...your toilet maybe ?

watch out for all the local fat people. There's a lot of them. And then you can breath in the second hand smoke since every other Nova Scotian seems to smoke. It's like a trip back to the 70's.

What are you talking about. Aren't you just describing what is seen across the USA, Canada, and many other nations. As for smoking that rates are dropping. Also, in Halifax or instance, it is illegal to smoke in public with the exception of a few very small out of the way places that are designed smoking areas.

The people of 17th century Grand Prey were burned to death the ones whom got out moved to the south Acadian as the English say became Cagain and that word came from the indigenous word Eqedia meaning people of the land.

the word cajun derives from the old way of saying acadian as "acadjun" ( the "dj" being pronounced like j). That is the old acadian way of saying the word. Eventually the a was dropped to just form the word cajun.

It's Grand Pré, not Grand Prey. You are totally wrong about what happened to the Acadians. No one was "burned to death'. The Acadians were rounded up and placed on ships and deported to the other British North American colonies in the initial deportations. Later, more Acadians were deported, throughout the Seven Years War, to England and France. Those who later immigrated to Louisiana became known as Cajuns (not Cagain). Eqedia? Do you mean Acadia.
