I own this amp and i can say it is one of the best combo/modeling amps i had ever played. It sound so real and fresh. The effects are basically just a multi effects pedal built into the amp. It doesn't sound fake and compressed like the line 6 spyder, it sounds alive and real. Excellent amp and i would recommend it.

I sold my Line 6 Spider to get this Vox, I love it. It's not the easiest amp to dial in, but it's worth the time to learn. Sounds amazing, especially for it's size & price. Now I just need the footswitch. It's a keeper.

Freddy, mate this tutuotial is now my bible. I’ve had one of exact these amps for 3 years but I’m no rocket scientist so found it hard to figure out. Your clip is the only one on YT that is watchable and makes sense! Thanks a million bro killa video. Amazing amp esp with an expression pedal

I'm after a nice little valve amp for my recording studio and I've fancied a Vox for a while, once I've sold enough stuff on ebay :0) and I'm amazed to find that this amp retails at my local music shop for just £139 !! Blimey that's cheaper than most Boss twin pedals (which are also very nice I hasten to add! ) Thanks Freddy.. you've well and truly sold this model to me, suits my needs perfectly !

Thanks for the review, I just picked one up used and I can't wait to play with it. First thing I did was download the user's manual which will prove useful since it describes in detail each amp model and how to manipulate the presets.

Thanks for this good demonstration! I've just receive it as a birthday present from my wife and I'm connected all day playing and experimenting, is addictive. One of the other great things is that you can play with low volume and stills feels alive and raw keeping all the distortion texture thanks to the valve system (for the ones that live in an apartment or cannot make much noise is great).

It's nice to hear a few different styles as everyone who might be interested in the amp doesn't play the same type of music. Yeah... some effects are sort of useless to me personally, but may be just the thing for someone else. The whole purpose of this "demo" version is to.. well... DEMO the thing. I liked it.

@Suiton1 You can get the "Extreme Metal" tone with the Vypyr and some other digital amps. But why get the digital and compressed sounding amp instead of the analogue output of the VT20+ just for one effect? You can get almost any sound with the Vox.And have a warm, and much more dynamic sounding amp.And all you really need is a $50 Boss pedal for the really hard metal and your set.The Fuzz on this amp is better than the Swollen Pickle Fuzz pedal. My Roland Cube was exchanged right away for this.

I have the VOX VT20+ I replaced the 8' Speaker with a Eminence Patriot 8" Lead/Rhythm Guitar Speaker American/Hemp and it Rocks I was in a music store trying out a SG and it was there so I gave it a shot I have used it for songs that needed a 60's mod sound as my Marshalls are not surf friendly that said , I never saw this Video with Goldilocks' hahaha and would not judge it on this as it is a good practice amp or if your Amp of choice is a Wall of Marshalls this will be a good amp for all the VOX amp tones needed for when a VOX is needed in the Studio for under 200.00 , Patriot 8" Lead/Rhythm Guitar Speaker American/Hemp included .I would not want this amp with out the Patriot 8" as it tightens up the bottom and makes it Chime

I got one of these amps and the speaker stopped working. Works fine with the headphone but, doesn't produce sound when it's unplugged. anyone here knows any idea on how to fix this issue? would really appreciate the help :)
Probably fixed by now. My guess is the problem is with the headphone jack. When headphone is unplugged the contacts close for the speaker to play again. Dirty contact connection. What was the issue 7 years ago?

I had the 1st inception of Vox Valvetronix amps , round 11 years ago, a Little 30 , if my memory serves me ..anyway'z it had the metal grill..and the sound for the price $ ..? I waz sold on these...and almost immediately grabbed the 120 ..although I didn't like the Big metal grill to many opening'z for pokez through the speakers..not bad for my ONLY complaint ! Although, they have improved the grill...I thought tat they cleaned up nice and they definitely tightened up the DIRTY SOUNDS...some of you say Too Fuzzy..? Nothing a treble booster pedal wouldn't fix! So, I have purchased another practice amp and for $80.oo , more buckz.I am going up from the 40+ to the 80+ & a 12" speaker from the 10" . I , have been playing guitar for over 40 somewhat yearz and Thiz IZ A Whole lotta BANG FOR YOUR BUCK...I rest my case
