(Filmed on 1/2/24). After finding out that McGonigal's Pub, an Irish pub that resided in downtown Barrington for 13 years, had closed down permanently when I drove there in attempt to film their elevator, I thought my hope was lost. Then, I saw some guys unlocking one of the entrances to the restaurant to do some cleaning, and from here, decided to take the opportunity to film the elevator regardless if I was even supposed to enter the building or not. This elevator is an Automatic with Inland square buttons [ones that KZitem user Jason (STL Elevators) loves to foam over], and was installed in 1965.
At first, I thought these buttons were CJ Anderson HHS, but as it turns out according to an employee that works for CJ Anderson, they're not. The fact that the shaft for this elevator is placed right against an external wall of the building itself kind of makes it look like a fireplace with a chimney. I'm not too sure what the status of this elevator is at the moment since the building is for sale, but I'm definitely glad I finally got to film this elevator while I could. Another interesting fact about this restaurant is that it occupied the space where a former bank (First State Bank of Barrington) resided.
