Imagine going through life not being able to hear. Imagine going through life having great difficulty speaking. In Mark 7 this young man is brought to Jesus to be healed of these ailments. Jesus encounters a young man that is both deaf and mute. Jesus takes the boy aside, puts His fingers in the boy's ears, spits, and touches the boy's tongue with the saliva. After this Jesus speaks the word "Ephphatha" and the boy is healed on the spot. Today on "In Need of a Refill," Kevin Smith looks at parallel accounts of Matthew 15 and Mark 7 where Jesus basically tells a deaf mute "Now Hear This!"
We are the Church of Christ in Rock Springs, Wyoming. We know you have Bible questions. We want to provide short, simple, to the point Bible answers to questions like, “Why do Christians worship on Sundays?” or “Can Christians drink?” or “Should Christians celebrate holidays?” We also have a playlist called "In Need of a Refill" with sermons to provide people an opportunity to dive deeper into God's Word. Why do we offer both question responses and sermon content? So you can grow in your relationship with God and come to know Him better.
Currently, our goal is to post a new video for "In Need of a Refill" every Sunday at 8am MST and for "Questions Over Coffee" every Monday at 3pm MST.
