@Pp Ss as a guy who has been there, I feel his pain. When I was in that position I was always taught not to show weakness. However I did one day and it changed my life. I didn't cry for me, I cried because I thought I would never have a family to look after. 10years this may (2023) I'm happy to say I have a wife and a son who is 7yo. I'm happy now, but the struggle almost killed me. I was qualified as a electrician and got my grades but was kicked out of the house for something I didn't even do (house party when my mom was away). @@jessH090 yeah our country is pretty half ass about helping our elderly. We have shelters and they suck. We have food pantries and social security, benefits like Medicare and food stamps. But no affordable senior housing. So once someone gets on to the streets it's very difficult to get the help of all of those benefits. We need more money for social workers and homeless outreach to help these people get back into the system. SS isn't enough to pay today's rent. We have some low income housing but it's not enough and it's in rough neighborhoods, not a place for older single people. Women with children get first dibs on housing, single men are last on the list for help. Seeing men like this just breaks my heart, we work our whole lives and get thrown away when we're old. The system sucks.

You don’t know that. Your literally making that up. Many people make different choices that sometimes lead to bad endings. @@thespicyonion I hope you can learn to forgive him some day. Many do drugs to try and deal with mental problems or trauma, and certain people's brains are much more likely to become an addict, so I hope you don't hate on him too badly for that. My dad was a massive drunk and was pretty handsy, so I understand. It took me a long time to forgive him, and honestly I'm not sure I have completely, but I do know that life is rough and that everyone has their weaknesses. ❤️

@@thespicyonion I’m no psychologist, but you seem to be angry, hurt and in pain from the things that happened to you in your life. No one knows why or what made this man the way he is, but you know what, it’s not our job to judge. Either help him or be on your way. Jesus dealt with a lot of different types of people from thieves to prostitutes, but you know what he didn’t do? He didn’t judge nor condemn them. People have layers to them and it may take years for you to understand them. This act of kindness towards this man may have been the help he needed to push forward. He probably was thinking of ending his life but the generosity of this man towards him gave him a new lease on life. Kindness will heal a thousand broken hearts. Peace❤
