GREAT idea about swapping out the rear tires and wheels and using the Mosler set-up. Did you do that for both the sidewinder and the anglewinder? Also, would using smaller front tires and wheels help too?

When you moved the Motor re gear mesh what did you do about the Axle rubbing on the Can? I Club Race this car and discovered that problem today (26/6/22).

Hi Jim, thank you for the great build video. your help is needed? the part # for the rear wheels (NSR 5202) is for a hard slick front tire, would you please post the correct number for rear wheels you used for this build? Thank you in advance!

Nice tutorial, one question I have, does your car(either Aw or Sw) doesnt make wheelies, 'cause I see you didnt added weight in the front. Most of my Nsr tend to do wheelies unless I add weight in the front.

I don't add lead to the front until I do a track test to see if it's needed. Some of my cars have lead in the front. The gray Mercedes didn't. I won't know for the Sidewinder until I do a track test.

Hi, thanks for sharing your knowledge! I hope you can help me out with the next question! I do race with friends on a Carrera Digital home track of 25m. We drive without magnets and chosen for GT3 open brand class. Last week my friend bought a Sidewinder M6 and in comparisson of our tuned Carrera cars he shaved 8 tens of the 10 low time. Now i'm going tomorrow to my slotrace dealer to purchase my first NSR car (AW). I love the looks of the Mercedes AMG GT3, but on the phone the seller told me to choose for the Corvette because of the height (Corvette C7 is lower then the Merc ). What do you think of the mercedes? And how big is the difference without a droparm? I hope you could share some knowledge. Thank you in advance

I've had more success with the Mercedes, but others in my group like the C7. Both are good, but I do prefer the Mercedes. The drop arm is useless. Everybody either screws it in place or glues it in place.

Hi, just building two now, both SW and AW. Did the SW pop the front wheels, therefor needing more weight ? Was it just a bit of weight in front of motor for the AW please ? I usually use the whole motor pod for AW thanks
@norcalslotcarsceneandvinta3518

Mine didn't, but it can be very track dependent. May be 2-3 grams on the guide. The AW is 10 grams heavier so it shouldn't need much weight.

The motor pod is stationary, the chassis floats...the pod doesn't.

You're correct when the car is on the track. However, in the video the context is how to limit pod travel/movement in relation to the chassis with the pod screws and tape.
