How nuclear strategy defined the Cold War, based on the logic that one nuclear armed state would not attack another, out of fear of incurring unacceptable damage in a retaliatory attack.
this is now become one of the most valuable information during this recent geo political circumstance, especially for us common citizen with minimum knowledge on such matter.

You don't understand it's more realistic we sleepwalk into all out nuclear war...Today battlefield and limited nuclear conflicts are far more likely as the potential of nuclear weapons on the battlefield is just to tempting for some forces. .You see its starts as minimal conflict with conventional explosive escalates into major battle and somebody decides an tactile nuclear warhead of moderate yield can destroy in single swoop an entire battle group of say aircraft carriers or several divisions of armed infantry or legitimate military targets near civilian populations and before you know it gets totally out of hand when an general decides an large populous city is an legitimate target for its apparent weapons producing capability. ..sorry but there's no mutual assured destruction in this scenario and it's just so easy to sleepwalk into it that you had better wake up to the horrendous reality of nuclear weapons before its too late.

The issue in the middle east is that Israel is the only one that has nuclear warheads. Once Iran develops similar systems, we will see a drastic decline in tension and the region will be way more stable.

It is interesting that India and Pakistan play cricket together again, and co-operated together over the Mumbai terrorist attack (when it was Pakistani extremist lead). As irrational is it might sound, we could hand out nuclear weapons to the likes of Iran: they'll never us them - as it is MAD; and there may well be peace and co operation in time.
@Anmol34
7 жыл бұрын
Blair Pakistan hasn't co-operated with India over any attack, not only 26/11. Your logic of giving nuclear weapons to Iran is sort of over the top.
@arminius6506
5 жыл бұрын
Actually India has is supporting multiple terror proxies against Pakistan so you cant blame it on Pakistan. BTW handing Iranians nukes will result in a trickle down effect and Saudi Arabia and Turkey will run for Nukes... After Turkey Greece will rush for it and bla bla bla

Easily the most flawed theory I've ever heard, I'm going to steal a note from Metal Gear here and say, imagine your in charge of a country, and someone finally fired a nuke, could you really bring yourself to do it? Could you really fire such a destructive weapon?
