It's always a learning and a humbling experience when one encounters a brilliantly evolved mind. At Chandigarh's first Cinevesture International Film Festival, one of the most interesting and engaging interactions we held was with a young Bangladeshi filmmaker and screenwriter - Nuhash Humayun. While his theatrical debut, Sincerely Yours, Dhaka was Bangladesh's official entry to Oscars and had its world premier at the 2018 Busan International Film Festival, his multiple award-winning short horror film, Moshari, is the first ever Oscar qualifying film from Bangladesh. Berlinale Talents describes him as "a Bangladeshi writer/director interested in the intersection of genre storytelling and South Asian identity politics'. who is interested in indigenous cinema, collaborative working, low budget cinema, science/fiction/horror and new distribution models.
