I have been to three podiatrists to figure out what is going on with the numbness in my foot. 10 years of numbness. They did nothing!! They didn't know squat. I went to an orthopedic surgeon in Toronto, Canada. Finally!! Someone that can figure out it is neuropathy related to back issues. I love your videos. They have been really helpful . From my experience , It seems like podiatrists like you ( in the USA) have a better grip on neuropathy issues than the podiatrists in Canada. Am awaiting an MRI and neurological testing on ly because an Orthopedic Surgeon suggested them. What is the difference in training??

About 4 years ago, I noticed slight tingling and numbness on the tips of my toes. I am mostly a vegetarian. After some reading, I took some sublingual B12. Numbness remained, stable and non-progressing. The tingling stopped the next morning and has never returned. 1.5 years ago, I was prescribed Cipro (Ciprofloxacin) for a possible for a possible gram negative bacteria by my dentist. Three weeks later, I had reddish bluish black “diabetic” feet up to my knees. Over the next several months, the discoloration regressed to just my feet whereupon a neurologist instantly diagnosed me as being diabetic. I am not even pre-diabetic (HA1c test results of 5.8 & 5.6). Since then the discoloration has progressed up to my ankles? Beware of Cipro. Now has five FDA required black box warnings (like the “may cause cancer warning” on cigarette boxes). Cipro can cause ruptured Achilles tendons, other tendons, ruptured aorta, peripheral neuropathy, essential tremors, and many autonomic nerve symptoms.

I'm borderline diabetic and have Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Spondylopathy, PAD, Peripheral Neuropathy, crushed vertebrae, sciatica and also recovering from a car accident two years ago. I am being treated for insulin resistance, high blood pressure, edema, and high cholesterol. Due to the pain I have significant mobility and balance issues. I can't stand or walk very far. I often sit or lay down most of the time. I just recently developed frost bite/nip on my toes due to the living situation. We are homeless and currently living in an RV. I take multiple vitamins and supplements. I don't take Vit Bs yet. I am researching it though. I am trying to find easy exercises that don't cause a great deal of pain. I got good shoes, but because I had to get a bigger size due to the wide feet and swelling, the toe of the shoe has creased and putting pressure and causing pain on my toes and top of my feet. I am on disability, so it's not easy to afford a lot, but I am trying.

This video is amazing as you are, too. No information is given to me, like this, when I go to my regular foot care appointment every 10 weeks. I am a type 2 diabetic with neuropathy in my feet. It is upsetting to me that even though I have dropped my initial blood sugar of 7 to 5. 8 on my latest A1c, and I have been consistently in the low ranges in my testing, over the last 6 yrs from my diagnosed, I ended up with peripheral neuropathy. I guess the damage was done when I was initially diagnosed, although I didn't have the neuropathy until the last year or two. Thank you 💅 so much for your "detailed" explanations especially about the shoes to the inserts & stretching as well as the various other exercises with the towel, balls & bottle. I saw a video of yours for the first time, yesterday, and got out my long- handled massager and used it on my calf muscles & it really felt good. I plan to use all your info & techniques. I hate to sound "desperate" but I am, for good solid info, which you provided. I have been trying all the supplements, lotions, aspercreme w/ lidocaine ( which works temporarily), theraworx & capsaicin. But, it looks like your treatment options are going to be the best! I've long-haul COVID. Around fall 2018 I experienced the toes on my previously beautiful feet splaying between the 3rd & 4th toes. Nothing hurt, no other issues. So in my brilliance I taped them together. Lo and behold, it worked. After several weeks they returned to normal. About a few months later, those two started curling and developed hammer toes. Flash forward to having COVID in November 2020. January '21, my toes started tingling, and I rapidly had a fungal infection on all toes and the ball of my foot. I had a bit of the same on my right foot. About summer '21 I exemplified what is known as COVID toes. Excessive callous has developed and tingling and pain grew. At the same time I was dealing with a lot of issues on the left leg. A flare-up of a double torn meniscus from 2017, then two sprains in the ankle, then a partially ruptured Achilles, a third tear on the meniscus, and a touch of arthritis that in the left knee resembled at least 10 years normal deterioration. Podiatrist I finally saw last summer confirmed a fungal infection and hammer toes. Still a lot of numbness, cracks in callous and pain and tingling. Hoping your exercises help, because with my knee and right hip rapid deterioration, capable feet would be nice! God bless you!

I may have a new explanation of neuropathy (apart from drug induced lack of maintenance), with a key feature I wasn’t aware of. So it’s fairly common that neuropathy is caused by hypoxic tissue like in diabetes. But why does it get worse. I think it’s because the body expects hypoxic conditions to be temporary, like if you can’t breathe you don’t live long. Basically if you’re hypoxic anywhere the body thinks you lost blood, let’s make more blood and free up iron. This kicks off HIF2, which reduces hepcidin, and increases iron transport and absorbtion in the gut (dmt1, ferroportin). This means macrophages start releasing stored iron, which is unfortunate because they will be mostly present in the area of the hypoxic and inflamed tissue, making inflammation worse. Long story short, it may be key to minimize tissue hypoxia, and maximize blood circulation.

I got neuropathy from a minor stroke, I don't have diabetes, don't drink or smoke, no cancer, very active, stopped running and jogging, Ather stroke. I get around fine, but my balance is off from walking slow and climbing stairs, my left side of my body and face experiences various degrees of numbness everyday, worse in my foot and arm.

I have spinal stenosis that gives me horrible nerve pain down the back of my left leg down to my foot, so I have what seems like a permanent limp so now I have Planters fasciitis and inflamed heel spur, my hip as well which I believe is piriformis syndrome. And it's all because of L3 L4 L5 spinal stenosis, a trickle effect if you will. Sucks big time!

😀Very informative video! For over thirty years I have been wearing cheap shoes! Recently I have acquired mid-high range shoes, with arch support. I now believe due to low quality shoes, they now are causing toe and upper foot cramps which last for 15-3- minutes per night, even during the day, I still feel cramps (and tingling/pin & needles) in my feet! 😀 Also in my knees crunching and mid sharp pain! Could my knees and feet pain be related or could this be a sign of gout? 😀💙

Thank you!!! You were very informative, do you have a recommendation of anyone to see in Arizona or New Mexico? I have seen 2 foot doctor's one gave me a cortisone shot, the next one made me very expensive very hard plastic shoe inserts and that was that. I'm in much pain with my heal and both of my Achilles tendons. Glad I found your informative channel!

Hi I'm just watching your video and I believe that my hamstrings on both legs calcification on the left leg and a misalignment from the fall in my back is contributing to foot pain and also have plantar fascitis on my left foot cannot find anything to put on my feet that would help I used to be a runner and a traveled around now I'm stuck in bed and I need to get back on my feet I'm 66 years old thank you

Very informative and easy to understand, so thank you very much but Where's the video for tarsal tunnel? I had a trimaellor feature 2 1\2 years ago. While in pt, realized neuropathy, podiatrist sent me for nerve test EMG, which increased my nerve pain a whole lot. My podiatrist decided to so Tarsal tunnel release, which made my nerve pain even worse. Doctors have given me no solutions to my pain other than narcotic pain mefs, which I was on for a year until I recently warned myself off of after my last surgery this past November to remove the hardware. I'm still experiencing a lot of pain and taking a non steroidal anti inflammatory that I'm not sure how much it's helping but I cannot take this medicine long term. NOW doc says due to also having DJD in my ankle, that the only solution to pain relief is ankle replacement surgery, but my concern is that will aggravate my tibial nerve. Its my foot and toes causing the most pain, while walking short distances or even doing therapy exercises. I'm desperately seeking for a non surgical approach for as long as possible. Ill get the roller massager and do you recommend kiniseology tape?

Excellent video but I have a problem with the stretches as I realise stretching is not a suitable exercise as I suffer from planta faciatis. What I understand is P/F stems from too much stretching of the feet therefore stretches will make it worse. It's always hard to say without a physical exam: Occasionally, this can be due to biomechanical issues, but a spinal injury could contribute. I usually see that there are some correctable issues that can help for sure, but it might not be for everything.

What about RSD/CRPS??? My Perennial nerve was severed and the Sciatic nerve "shattered" (30+years ago). Treatments promoted today left me in an emergency epidural when the new solutions dropped my blood oxygen to 83 and then confined to bed for almost a year. I am still relearning to walk again (after being restored to my original medication that kept me functioning for near 30 years). I have a long way to go to get back where I was just because a new doctor didn't like what worked for me with no real side effects for so long because it isn't preferred treatment for RSD2/CRPS2. I COULD SAY MUCH MORE but it would be wasted on the one solution for all insanity that disregards individual differences and needs.
