The Pt. having difficulty breathing, you should check her oxygen saturation and address that before anything else.

That was such a great simulation. It will help me so much when it comes time for my simulation test.

Great simulation video for students. So many negative posts. The video is a simulation for nursing students to practice their skills and test their knowledge. They are not expected to perform perfectly.

They wont give anything for pain ever! Plus these things usually take many hours before anyone does anything in most hospitals.

This video is NOT GOOD!! They are both overwhelming the patient assessing to rapidly for accuracy and quite rude and aggressive

Some doctors and nurses are nice and friendly and others are rude and angry and unfriendly. Sometimes they’re in trouble!!

I’ve got a sim tomorrow in nursing school on DKA and this helped so much, thank you! I don’t think I’ve seen us run a sim that proficiently, so I’m feeling pretty inadequate. That’s what SIMS are for though! 🫣

he took 1.3 seconds to check her heart rate and breathing, then they hooked her up to oxygen and a drip instead of letting her drink....this makes the hospital lots of $. and nurses will never get there that quick, hell, in most hospitals you will wait 2-3 hours to get lab results back..

You have to consider an unstable patient as a “possible surgery patient” especially with unknown confirmed origin of abdominal pain. NPO is status quo in the ER. Plus, she’s dry heaving and has an electrolyte imbalance which can mean introducing fluids could further deplete electrolytes if she vomits. Dude, read the patient.

BC they’re student nurses and cannot remember all the steps that they MUST verbalize. It’s ridiculous.
