When you make a deposit, take the deposit receipt and THEN use the receipt to mark the invoices paid.

Personally, if I were an employee, I would hate that compensation structure. It's way too complicated.

10:16 Get a little pouch like they have at the bank and put the checks in there. Either that or put them in a ziploc bag.

Very good idea- you shouldn’t expect to do all that work with no front end commitment from customer- even Lowe’s won’t come out to customer house without a deposit! Mutual commitment!!

If I remember correctly, you once said in a video that you hoped to one day sell your business, and move on to something else. Is that still your mindset? If I’m incorrect, I apologize.

Hey man thanks for the upload, I learn a lot from you and I'm all the way over here in Tennessee. I know shit sucks learning the hard way, but honestly you may have just saved me and others from getting screwed over in the future and for that I appreciate all the transparency!!

Good stuff! Checks can be tough for the reasons you explained. I would even consider the square reader. Have one tied to each vehicle that way tech can swipe for payment on the spot.

I charge higher prices than most. And I pay my guy $20 an hour but if I paid him commission it would come out higher than $20. I think $20 is more than fair.
