I’m so thankful that you did this video! I have almost every color and I think they all dried up! Hopefully I can revive them! I just feel like it’s a waste of money. I haven’t had them much longer than a year and barely used them! Ugh!

Shannon Helwig Designs if you can’t revive them I would contact Tonic. They have been pretty good about replacing them. If they are rock solid I would suggest boiling some water and letting the water sit for a minute or two and adding the water and closing it up. Someone suggested that. I haven’t tried it yet though. Good luck!

I added glycerine 2 x to my jar of rust effect paste and it did soften it up, but then I added some boiling water and that did a better job. I haven't used it yet, but at least I didn't have to throw it in the garbage.

This is great! When I first opened my new nuvo mousse and realized they have a thicker texture than I was used to it made me cautious about purchasing more.. thanks for taking the time to show us how to make how products last longer... 💖

Thank you for sharing this. I don’t have any Nuevo mousse. After watching this I will not be buying any. I have bought Inka gold in several colors, they dried up, even after keeping a damp baby wipe in the container. I used the same method as you to get them to work, at least somewhat. I then bought a few decoart metallic lustres, I am glad they were on clearance. One was like a hockey puck, one was ok, the last one was starting to dry up. I had to break them up and add some glycerine, to those also. If these similar products dry out so quickly, they should have a sell by date on them. Or how about actually making a decent mousse type product that doesn’t dry out so fast. I had my lids on tight. The metallic lustre was dry right when I opened them. It is so disappointing. There is this stuff in a small tube, called Rub n buff. Rub n buff has an odor to it, but mine has never dried out, even after years. I might start using that. Thank you again, as I have been thinking about buying these even after being burned by similar products. You saved me money.

Wow, Tiffany! Mine is already usable, and I just mixed it in! I'm going to leave it for a few hours/overnight to see what happens. I wish I'd found this video before I threw away the other 2 jars last year. The glycerin made the difference, because water alone doesn't work very well. Thanks so much!

If you mix it up really well with the pallet knife, adding a bit of water as you go, you can get it back to the nice creamy state that it started in. I’ve saved a few of mine that were drying out. 😊 I like the idea of adding glycerine!

I had a look of mine before 2 days they were hockey puk stage. I tried boiling water, but before I sliced inside with a sharp knife. Then filled it with boiling water and a pea sized toothpaste (because there is glycerin in it). And it helped after one day it was possible to slice it in many pieces (it could also be as the boiling water stage (I could slice it there) and now the second day I mixed again (there was a lot of water in there. And know it's beautiful creme again 🥰❤️

You are right, nothing lasts forever. Its great to have ways to make them last a little while longer. Make sure to use sterile water or things can grow in the product. Seen it on hedgehog hollow and tonics channel.

Wonder if microwaving for a few seconds would help the hockey puck stage. Just a thought. I don't have any of these.

I might try boiling water. Someone suggested boiling water then letting it sit for a minute and adding it to the mousse. If that doesn't work I might get a fine grater and see if I can grate it lol. hehehe. I am determined lol. Thanks so much!

🇪🇦 Muchas gracias por el tutorial no pensaba volver a comprar "NUVO EMBELLISHMENT MOUSSE" Es caro (8'95€) y termina secandose en poco tiempo. GOOGLE-Thank you very much for the tutorial, I was not thinking of buying "NUVO EMBELLISHMENT MOUSSE" again. It is expensive (€8.95) and ends up drying up in no time

I just watched the first video I don't have hockey pucks yet. But I have a few crumbling, and some I never opened. I love the product but like you said nothing last forever, on the other hand we spend a lot of money on products and I expect them to last longer than a few months. I guess it also matters where you live. Going to give it a go and also open the others, now that will make me sad if the unopened ones are not fresh. On a spending freeze for 8 months 😩Thanks for sharing this Tiffany 😊

I agree. We do spend lots of money on these products. If any are dried out I would contact the company. They have been good about replacing them. Mine lasted for over a year. I am sorry yours dried out so quick.

If you don't have distilled water, you can boil tap water for 20 minutes and let it cool to help prevent bacteria growth when reviving your mousse.

It looks like you need way more glycerine. But thanks for the video. If mine do this I’ll know what to do.

Adding rubbing alcohol can prevent any mould growth. How are the mouse’s today? Still usable or not? I’ve been looking at these but will not be buying now.

They are still good. But if you are not planning on using them up with in a few months I honestly would not by them.

So would you recommend to use the foil when storing these? I was really disappointed when mine dried up and I had to throw some of them away and I'm wondering if there is a way to slow the process down of them drying up.
