I’m not hating on Nya (she’s one of my favorite floor gymnasts of all time, her foot work is impeccable) or any other gymnasts, but the judges have to do better. I felt like this weekend across all of college gymnastics, the judging has gotten so bad. 10s are being thrown out casually and I think they need to reevaluate how they are given. Judges should NOT be bias and judge purely on technicality. For me, this would have scored a 9.900 based on both her landings in the tumbling, but to give this a 10 after a very visible uncontrolled first pass is crazy! Selena also had a 9.975 and had to take a small hop forward on her second pass, so I can understand if the judge missed it or couldn’t see. But Nya’s routine was so visible that it does such a great disservice to the sport and the gymnast for inflating their scores. Again, not hating on Nya, UCLA, or any gymnast/team. I’m just making a reflection about the judging after watching all of this weekends’ competitions. These NCAA judges need to be retrained fr

The judging was so wonky this meet that it was embarrassing. This was definitely a 198 meet for ucla but the judges really did not make it easy

the scoring did get a little loose at the end but overall the scores in the meet were pretty good. You'd definitely see routines like this get overstored 10x more at other schools in one meet.... 👀

@@jebullock74 It's not Abt being able to execute the skill better. She had too many errors for the score she received. As per the rules of college gymnastics
