Don't blink was released in 2007, I remember hearing this in the back seat of my parents new (used) van on vacation trip. I learned to drive in that thing. Finally, I towed it out of the driveway to junk it and that was 4 years ago. Crazy to look back at 15 year chunk of time.

I love this song and Trace Adkins' "You're Gonna Miss This". Both songs really make you think about how fast time flys by when you aren't paying attention. My husband died suddenly in a very tragic way, and just 4 weeks later my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, dying just months later. Our family was shaken to the core. Grief nearly killed me, and only functioning I could do was getting the kids through the grief. I feel like I missed so much of the kids' childhoods, especially our 3 youngest boys'. I felt like I blinked, and my husband, my mom and our children's childhoods were gone. I don't even remember periods of time after he died, just a painful blur. Appreciate every day things are good and you have loved ones with you. ❤❤

This was my mother's favorite artist...she was almost obsessed with Kenny Chesney. She passed away in 2010 at 44 yrs old and she would always crank this very song when she heard it!!! Now in 2023, as an adult nearing 40 myself, everytime I hear this I think of my mom!!!! I can't believe it has been nearly 15 yrs since she passed!!!

It doesn’t seem that long ago I got my first kiss from a girl 2nd grad, then I was playing football, I got married and a couple months later got a call from the Red Cross my first son was born 2000 miles from me, or I was repelling out of helicopters with other Marines. While everyone was rushing around at my second wedding and the birth of my 2nd son my wife and I were able to laugh with each other because everyone else was stressed. She was there for me for head trauma and my diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. I was there for her when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in her early 30’s. Now my sons are 32 and 25. "Chesnut" Adorable. One of my favorite songs. Finally, someone is reacting to it; not many do. I heard you are planning your wedding. Yes, earning a living is necessary, but don't make the mistake I made of concentrating on the earning the living and leaving out having a life. Yet, don't only focus on having a life and upset that balance also.Time does go by way too fast. Just past the 40 yr school reunion last year; where did that time go.
