I tried dating apps in a new city last year and it ended really scary for me (I even had to break my lease and move). A year later I’ve healed and learned some valuable lessons on how to protect myself, I’ve been thinking about signing up again to meet new people and explore new opportunities. It makes me feel less alone to know dating is such a mess these days. It can feel so frustrating when you feel like you have so much going for yourself, you love your life and everyone in it, yet it’s so hard to find a partner. I adore the idea of this series, makes me feel like I’m watching sex and the city and it’s starring one of my favorite KZitemrs/fashion inspo icons! Stay safe and I love your mindset going into this- open minded, true to yourself and taking everything for what it is-no expectations!!

Hi Kendall, when a man is late on a first day take it as a sign that he's not interested and he 80% has an agenda to just have fun. I wouldn't have kissed a man that didn't show respect of my time, a man hs to EARN a kiss. I feel like men sometimes test us, the fact thst you waited for him was very kind of you, but at the same time shows a little bit of people pleasing behaviour (which I have as well sometimes). I did wait for a guy who was late on a first day one, never again. Next time just leave, you will teach him a huge lesson, you're a QUEEN and queens do not wait because they have high standards.

Nyc is roughest for me imo, as far as meeting anyone who isn't "hostile" 😂 You had excellent explanations about what you felt was "red flag" about 2 both guys. Most young men are still extremely immature, & yes their either careless or possessive. Question: Where are the "normal" people? 😂 Who go out to enjoy the music & the food? lol

I live in a major city in Canada, and trust me girl, it's not just New York, dating men is the exact same way here! Unfortunately it's also often, terrible. BUT I'm sure if you trust your intuition, with time you'll meet a solid guy :)

"wasnt taking no for an answer" IS INSANE. Also respecting boundaries is pretty surface level respect why cant people do this anymore smh. You probably deal with this as a woman more than I have as a man, so its probably more shocking to me than you but sorry it happened to you and that NY dating is so wild. I've been on two dates in NY and they both went really well unironically. But im from Chicago so thats why only two in NY. I've had a weird experience with connecting to people on apps TBH. Im also a raya member too but taking a break from apps to meet people in circles I already am in!

Still listening to the vid, but as you were describing the first man, I was excited for you because he had all the same interests and physical characteristics as my lovely fiancé (besides the genre of music he plays) but alas.. excited to hear about the rest of your dates though(:

please continue this series!! i'm sure many women resonate with it. i also love the way you filmed and edited this. x while we're on the topic... it's actually SO hard finding someone who's ready to commit to sth that's NOT casual. idk why but men are scared of putting a label on a human connection, which is both scary and immature.
