@@chiriforever6535 Not quite true, as you can be arrested if you smoke weed on federal property within NYS/NYC, such as the portions of Gateway National Park in Staten Island. I don't smoke weed (have always disliked it), so I have no knowledge of whether this jurisdictional issue has led to actual arrests in New York, but I recall some folks being prosecuted for smoking weed on federal land in New Jersey in the not too distant past. Plus you can't smoke weed *anywhere* in New York (such as in subway cars, stations, most restaurants, etc.), but only where you can smoke cigarettes, but folks generally know this.

Boy did you bring back memories. I lived in FH for a several years. Austin Street was where I ended up a lot of the time, and The Village Set was a great place to shop. But, the most beautiful moments were during Christmas when the streets took on a magical, back-in-time, enchanted feeling. @@MikeCee7 As far as completely virgin, unspoiled blank canvas land you may be correct. Yet there are many failing or already abandoned sprawling industrial, commercial and other properties which if combined could have an equally as good amount of acreage and effect if cooperatively worked toward by many sectors. It would have to be integrated just like this community was from it's inception. There are pockets like this in most all boroughs and counties if you look closely yet probably the zoning/local red tape and bureaucracy is what prohibits cost effectiveness or doesn't encourage it. I'm theoretically against taking more natural land when we're already wasting what we have with poor planning and lack of recycling/up cycling efforts or systems at odds with each other.
