im very curious why beth keeps her hand in the 2nd game like she keeps it. why not put the titan on the bottom. its a very dead card at this moment. anyone can explain? i as a gitrog player would see no reason to keep it.

Completely off-topic, but if Factor offers any seafood options, those have 100% been frozen. It's legally required to be so, and most modern fishing vessels have flash-freezing equipment on the ship itself. This is actually an extremely good thing though, as modern flash-freezing technology does Rograkh levels of Commander damage to the flavor and nutrition of the product, and 21 Commander damage to all parasites in the product. Frozen foods are actually no worse than fresh in many cases these days, and a lot cheaper and easier to prepare. I highly recommend them.

How does Beth cast Frog and Scheming Symmetry at 3:27 in the same turn? I thought Treespeaker had to level before he can tap for mana?
@djnewellmit
Жыл бұрын
I had the same question. Based on later actions, it appears that Beth used the lands to level up Treespeaker before tapping him for mana, but she didn't place the counter (and the action was omitted by the narration). Later when Beth levels up Treespeaker again, she puts the dice out showing "2" level up counters.
@HansHurin
Жыл бұрын
@@djnewellmit Doesn't that still leave her one Mana short? 2 Forest, 1 Swamp -> Tap all -> Pool GGB -> Cast Dark Ritual -> Pool: BBBGG -> Level Treespeaker -> Pool: BBG (or BBB) -> Tap Treespeaker for GG -> Pool: BBBGG (or BBGGG) -> Cast Gitrog for 5 Mana -> Pool Empty. No more Mana for Symmetry

11:22 Doesn't Claire have blockers? Or is it because Noah can repeat the loop again and kill Claire that she chose not to block?
@nebDDa
Жыл бұрын
She did have blockers. He was in a final fortune extra turn. He could also have won by casting a huge finale (it gives haste), swinging all out at claire forcing her to block, then casting final fortune and attacking everyone for lethal now that there were no creatures left
@PlayingWithPowerMTG
Жыл бұрын
Finale also fetches up a creature, which gives him another creature with haste. It was enough to get through.
@DarkEinherjar
Жыл бұрын
Noah can flicker Dockside and Witness to recast Finale as many times as he wants, so he can get enough creatures to get through Claire's and Cal's blockers. He could also flicker Omnath over and over again to draw his library and hardcast the creatures for the same effect.

Another great video guys, I hope you guys keep it up. Your videos do a great job of showing how the stack works and how things interact on the stack. I do have a question, when Beth played Duathi you said Noah cringed, but, doesn't HIS commander create a replacement effect? If so, can't he just choose his commander's replacement effect over that of Duathi's? Or, am I missing something within the big picture?

Hot take, but why isn’t Ad Naus banned yet? It’s kinda boring to see the same win con amongst half of the meta. Sure, games are faster with it in, but I swear, I see ad Naus played every single game of PwP uploaded. It’s getting old.
@therealax6
Жыл бұрын
This is a silly cat and mouse game. Banning wincon A will only get wincon B to become popular, and then C, D, etc. Flash was the exception because of how uninteractible it is - Ad Nauseam is far from it (you can counter it, counter the spells cast from it, etc.). I'd say Thassa's Oracle is far more uninteractible than Ad Nauseam, and even that is a stretch.
@r3dmanMIC
Жыл бұрын
@@therealax6 You almost never can counter the spells cast after a Naus, since it often also draws counterspells. It's not a "cat and mouse game", because the only cards that do anything similar are either banned (yawg's bargain) or worse in a very measurable way (Necropotence, PITA).

@@kennethpolsky8369 Yeah I get that thoracle is often the payoff, and that it's Breach/Naus that enable the wins.
