Nyongkolan is a traditional activity that accompanies a series of events in the marriage procession of Sasak tribe in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This activity is a procession/calvacade from the bride groom's house to the bride's house, accompanied by family and relatives of the groom, wearing traditional clothing, as well as music such as gamelan troupe or Gendang beleq. The accompaniment will be greeted by relatives and family of the bride. In practice, because of the distance, the procession is not done literally, but usually the group began walking distance of 1-2 km from the house of the bride.
Some participants in this procession usually bring a few items such as crops, vegetables and fruits that will be distributed to relatives and neighbors bride later. *
In this version, Nyongkolan has been modified from the original, including the groom should not go hand in hand with the bride and the bride and groom should be appointed on a stretcher of Sasak typical . It caused by the request of relatives of the groom for the bride and groom do not have a peerage.
