Oh my god! I am not a doctor, but I have experience BPPV since I was about 19 years old. Thought it was because of a panic attack but when I would lay down, everything would move side to side. I am a naturally anxious person and so I think this triggered a panic attack so I am invariably linked the two. I also have a voluntary nystagmus. I literally thought I was dying! It really sent me into a spiral! This is so good to know now.❤ I was sitting up and leaning over the first time.

Vestibular Physical therapy is very effective for BPPV! A vestibular specialized therapist may be able to help you greatly!

The slow phase of nystagmus is the pathological phase - where the eye drifts off and the image slips off the fovea. The Fast phase of nystagmus is the corrective phase. Hence the slow beat of the nystagmus, has to come first before the corrective fast beat

Hi thank you for your very informative video.. I was born with nystagmus in both eyes and in both directions.. I had the null point operation in Moorfields eye hospital in 1992 by professor Gary Lee.. From I remember at the time he told me I was the first person he had done this operation on both eyes and in both directions... 30 years later and although I wear glasses, and this is the main thing I can drive 😀. Thank you to all you excellent medical people, for giving people like a new lease of life

Thank you. In horizontal nystagmus examination, is the nystagmus going to shift from geotropic to geotropic or vice versa when we tilt the head to the opposite direction or will it still the same?

It is really hard to have this. It's awful tbh. Very disorienting. Like I can't function in my head. My senses are thrown off. I worry about people thinking I'm drunk. Im not. But sometimes it's really kind of disabling.
