In November, late autumn, I traveled to New Mexico on a four-night, five-day trip. While living in LA, I visited Nevada, Arizona, and Utah often, but New Mexico didn't have a chance to go, but I started with a big mind this time.
New Mexico is in the west, but it's true that there are no exceptionally attractive places like Las Vegas in Nevada, Grand Canyon in Arizona, and Zion Canyon in Utah. The most famous attractions in New Mexico are the White Sand Dunes and Carlsbad Cave. Other than that, it's almost barren land, with strange laryngeal rocks, and Native American sites. Somehow it looks desolate and it feels like a place where the natives live quietly.
But New Mexico, with its vast meadows and fresh air, is said to be a fascinating land that many Americans want to retire to.
