Timothy Y. Loh (PhD Candidate in History, Anthropology, and Science, Technology, and Society, MIT) discusses his experience at the 1st NYUAD Graduate Student Research Workshop in March 2022 and what made him apply.
The Graduate Student Research Workshop is organized by the Humanities Research Fellowship for the Study of the Arab World and is hosted each year at NYU Abu Dhabi. The theme of the workshop is “New Directions in the Study of the Arab World.” We welcome applications from international doctoral students who are currently in the writing stage with the opportunity to present and thoroughly discuss their PhD projects. Applications are encouraged for projects that range across the arts, humanities, and social sciences related to the study of the Arab world, broadly defined.
