I found this super helpful in dipping my toe into NZSL, I did have to slow it dow to 0.5x speed, so my brain could keep up , but I learned something. :) thank you

Thank you so much! We are recent migrants to NZ from the US. My kids and I knew a bit of ASL (we did baby signs with the kids, and I was low-level conversational). This video is a wonderful intro to NZSL! I think I will watch it each day until I feel I know all the signs you are doing, then move to the next one. It was interesting that some signs (like beautiful and bird) are the same as ASL. I believe ASL is French SL based, while NZSL is British SL based, correct? But I suppose across the board, many signs look like what they mean. I am excited to learn NZSL!
