2:11 My FT 120 Gemini II is my 'flagship' engine. The presentation OS put with it, too..mine came with EVERY gubbin. Every tool, leaflet, dunnage, even sticker sheets, original box. OS packages all of their engines well vis-a-vis getting them to you intact, but the presentation on these multi-cylinder masterpieces is unrivalled.

Awesome man I do really wish I had at least the original box. but for the price I paid I couldn’t say no. I’ve got the 160 Gemini arriving soon and I hope to put that in an airframe of some sort I’ve got a 1/4 cub that the 160 would be perfect.

@@millerrc5829 Ye cubs are an easy place for these things. Matter of fact mine came off of one! Bought it off eBay, guy said he flew it on a cub 8 or 9 times then sold the airframe off seperate from the engine. I paid something like 500 bucks for it. When I got mine I could clearly tell it had been run, but also it was pretty low time. No major castor staining under the rocker boxes, but that distinct smell was there. It runs like it, too. I was floggin' mine pretty good today pullin' cuban eights and stall turns and immelmans and whatnot with my Spacewalker! It loved it. And that sound. OMG they sound so good. Like, ok, they sound nice on the stand, but when they're actually in flight it's in another world. I have a similar Saito, too. The FA-90T*S*. The evenfire cousin to the oddfire you showed. I don't have that on an airworthy airframe yet...had it on a Valiant 10cc and it flew it nicely but that airframe was structurally deficient and only went up twice before I boneyarded it lest it take out one of my flagship engines.

Good that you define it as a glow engine. I have yet to understand how our engines got to be called "nitro". I have a 1.60 and a 1.20. Sweet!

Ye I tend to call em glo engines mainly because my home brew fuel doesn’t have any nitro lol. I’ve got the 160 flying in a stick airframe and it’s been great.

13:30 1/3rd scale Spacewalker. I have my FT-120 II on a 25% Spacewalker and it's a dream.

I agree, that would be a good airframe. I have my 1.60 in a 1/4 scale Spacewalker.

@@robertcovell2787 My 1/4 Spacewalker is not short on power with the 120 I have on it! Must be a blast with a 160. I have video on my channel, too, I put headtracked HD FPV on it and have uploaded a couple DVR'd flights.

How long ago did you acquire that Rolex? Put a 1/4 scale clipped wing cub behind it and create a 3D head turner. If it was running lean, removing the glow starters caused RPM drop considerably, then you might try a slightly hotter plug. Great engine. I’ve a den full of hangar queens that are aching for sunlight again.I could blame depression when she left after 27yrs, but women shouldn’t have that much power. I’ll buy new batteries and get busy. Thanks for building a fire under my ass.

I know what you mean about not having many options airplane wise. Since Tower Hobbies bit the dust I haven’t found shit for choices. If you really enjoy sticks and can’t find the right size, then buy some balsa and scale a 30cc sized stick up. That engine does have a sweet noise to it and it would be a shame not to put it to work. What fuel does it burn btw? Is it just straight up glow fuel or what? Too many questions from idiots, I know.

@@krautyvonlederhosen acquired this Jem over 2yrs ago mounted but never run. I’m not really a cub fan and it’s hard for me at the moment to build but I’m most likely going to have to resort to scratch building my own. And the fuel is my home brew fai 80% methanol and 20% klotz castor.
