I find myself getting seasick mainly when I haven’t had much sleep and also when I’m on an empty stomach. I know exactly how you felt and it sucks! Hanging out in the water helps me feel much better than hanging out on a rocking boat. I’ve also found that taking Dramamine makes me feel way worse and don’t take that stuff anymore. Plenty extra Palu in the water for the guys in the water lol. The trick with Dramamine (that works for me) is I take one tan 24 hours b4 the trip. Then half tab/full tab the morning of. This gives it plenty time to get in the system. If that no work, go get the patches from ur dr. And I had mean sea sickness b4. So bad that I would get sick in the harbor. I used to always be last on the boat and first one off.

Go to doc. Ask for Scopalamine prescription. Patch goes behind your ear on your neck. I've barfed my way through 3 day and a half sportfishing trips on big diesel exhaust smelling 9 knots rolling boats down to mex. I finally quit trying to use Dramamine, Bromine, Ginger, Crackers, Staring at the horizon, Getting fresh air, never going below deck.....none of that ever worked. @@hawaiihammahs I’ll be honest I’ve never tried it. I don’t usually spear off a boat and I don’t usually get seasick shore diving. I’m sure it’s work with a hood on for sure. The biggest problem with the patch is that it is a vasodialator…what does that mean? You have to wash your hands off really well after applying. What happens a lot of the time is guys go touch it or scratch it, then they run their eyes and their pupil(s) get huge like when you’re in the dark. It’s no biggie at night…but if your in the sun on a boat deck and rub your eyes…those hug dilated pupils let a lot of light in😂😂. Just gotta remember not to mess w it once it’s on. It’s friggin insane how well it works though.

Dramamine for me. 4 hour intervals take the max amount two at the shortest intervals. Make sure to start it before you head out. So you have one dose in you before getting on the boat. Also when traveling on the water keep your eyes on the horizon nothing else.

I had a friend who's brother owned a charter fishing boat out of Honolulu, and when the fishing was slow, they would go over off of Diamond Head and get everyone sick so they would want to call it a day......brutal!! The only time I went out with him I got sicker than hell. Just was not used to that at all.
