I just entered the obs ford realm with the acquisition of my 97 f250hd xlt 2wd ccsb with 7.3 Diesel. I absolutely love this truck. It is the highest mileage vehicle I've ever owned but it works so well. My entire adult life since 2008 I've been working on cars professionally. This is the first diesel I've ever owned or worked on. Alot of random stuff to fix and get working again. Cant wait to make my ford great again. MFGA 🎉

They're great trucks, I've had a few, as well as a brick nose IDI that I turbo'd and a dent side F100. Good luck with yours!

@@buttcrackcycles the only other car on the planet I plan to buy in my future is a first gen rx7. The truck is going to be our tow rig when we take our rx7 to the track. My son is 3 so we have a bit to go but I look forward to it so much. Teaching him why I like things that are unique and old 😂 and how to be self sufficient and not rely on others to help you get stuff done is probably the biggest gift I can give him in life besides my attention. I was fresh off an accident on my gsxr and I promised my wife no more motorcycles when she got pregnant but if our son wants a dirt bike when he is old enough I explained to her how much that would mean to me. Keep your fingers crossed for me and my boy that we get two wheels back in our life some day!

When you snapped that socket I thought to myself... Everytime I work on my obs stuff just like that happens to me and taking a brake to step away is sometimes the best thing to do.

It's funny, I got the same setup as you do, except it doing my Marty's e fuel this weekend or at least starting it. I got 160/30, kc stage 1, and hydra. You plan on a S&B cold air intake? That would compliment your upgrades
@buttcrackcycles
4 ай бұрын
Yeah I'll probably add an intake eventually, I had the old 6637 setup on my turbo idi but I think the SB system will look nicer on this truck. Double check the polarity of your fuel pump on the Marty's setup, mine was wired backwards! That one little "oops" aside it's a nice kit that's been performing well.

@@robbywarder232 I would guess 350 turned all the way up? I'm not really looking for some big number, just some more usable power

It’s kind sounds like you are short shifting it? Bigger turbos like to breathe. Lugging the motor at 1500-1800rpms is gonna ru poorly. These trucks make peak hp at like 3000-3300rpms and peak tq at 2500rpms. Under heavy load/throttle you wanna shift closer to 3000rpms and drop down to 2200-2500 after the shift.

It was the tunes, there's a second video on here about it. No reason to turn 3k rpm in a totally empty truck. Does fine now

I think it will improve if you only say a prayer over it while sacrificing the rooster! (Of course I`m neither a shaman nor a professional mechanic, so your mileage may be vary closer than it appears!)

Check fuses or circuit breakers, make sure he didn't leave a wire loose, spend some time with a wiring diagram and a volt meter I'm sure you'll get it figured out

I want bigger injectors for my obs7.3 and its my daily right now. Would 160/30 still be ok for daily or should I just go with 160/0?
@buttcrackcycles
2 ай бұрын
@@JBizzle822 the 160/30s will be fine, you could probably daily a 205/30 hybrid easily with good tuning. I've put about 4500 miles on mine since I did the injectors/turbo with no issues

160/0 are you best choice for stock hpop and turbo tho, it could handle the 160/30 or even 180/30s but 160/0 will still make a hell of a difference but be just as reliable as stock
