Dr. Turk gave the finest performances of the famous Bach Toccata and Fugue in d minor and the equally famous Toccata from Widor's 5th symphony that I have ever heard. It was as if I had never encountered these pieces before, his performances were so illuminating. And this was in a small church with a modest 2 manual pipe organ!

Dr. Gordon Turk is a very dynamic organist. I've been blessed to hear him in recital at Tindley Temple UMC at the Messiah Festival. The Ocean Grove organ is simply fantastic. To God be the glory.

I’m been blessed to go to OG all my life. He started there 3 years before I was born, so I’ve only known him as organist. I’ve also witnessed the constant expansion. Over 13,000 pipes just gives me chills just thinking about it. What a gift God has given us !!!

I was sorry to have missed this event, but I have been a regular at the auditorium since the year Gordon began his tenure there.

@@georgemurphy2579 oh yes!! My favorite place! Been going there all of my 46 years , my grandmother was there in 1934 and saw the SS morro castle at asbury. I even found a snapshot of my great great grandmother with the north end hotel in the background lol. We live in upstate ny so I don’t get down as often as I’d like. Twice this year though! I have a fb page “Historic Ocean Grove great auditorium and hope Jones Shaw pipe organ”
